Itās no different from an adoption contract. A foster parent(s) choose a child to be their treasure, ONLY IF the child behaves in certain ways. OR ELSE. And this āor elseā did happen. The contract became null and void.
Okay. Is there proof of what you stated in the Bible, Tora, Talmud? Jesus died for everyoneās sins, not just the J ews. I believe that to be true so, why would God āunchooseā the J ews if he sent his son to be the sacrifice for all men?
In the following Chapter 8 of Deuteronomy (which means repetition), you read the āor elseā part.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

In other words, a lot of Old Testament verses were invented by scholars and scribes to suit the needs of the political leaders. Letās say Moses lived (if he ever existed) around 12th century BC, while the Five Books as we know them were completed in 5th century BC. 700 years of time lag!

Genesis is a mishmash of stories from Mesopotamia, Egypt and God knows where else. Even āIsraelā consists of:

In the creation narrative of Genesis, Chapter 1, Yahweh never makes an appearance. The Garden of Eden in Chapter 2 has a Mesopotamian origin and Abraham probably was a Sumerian elite, not a Semite.

In other words, Abraham and Isaac together went up to the place of sacrifice and Abraham returned alone.
