Is it time to abandon our troops AGAIN?

Why do respond to ppl that don’t post here any more lol

To reiterate, criticism of the former president (Obama) is entirely irrelevant now–whether or not it “stop[s]” anyone from offering it.

In all fairness, some of that national-debt increase was due to the rebuilding of our military–which was urgently needed.

That said, however, I think that Donald Trump’s promise to “pay…off” the national debt was reckless and irresponsible.

If you wish for me to respond again to your posts, please do not lump me in with others. (Your constant hand-wringing about what other “PBers” have said–and your effort to tie me to it–is both trite and disingenuous.)

I think independently. (Underline the word, “independently.”) My political philosophy is a center-right one. But I never find myself as a part of any ideological group.

So please do not act as if I should either defend that group, or renounce it.

What was reckless? Cutting government programs, more ppl in the private sector working pay more revenue… it’s basic math … how would you pay down the debt?

Lol, Trump increased the Pentagon’s budget in the billions, the debt increase was 7 trillion. And no the military wasn’t decimated or rebuilt. It’s had a fairly static budget for decades….

That’s a bullshit conservative talking point…And Trump was about ending wars right, so why any need to increase the military’s budget when it’s three times the size of the nearest competitors already….

Keep in mind Obama destroyed our military, we needed to invest

I think I would disagree with you on the point that Obama is irrelevant. He is very much so as he is dictating policy through Susan Rice from behind the scenes. Never underestimate Marxists for they are a formidable foe who needs to be defeated at all costs if the country is to survive. That includes cleansing all institutions that they have inflitrated. Some have figure this out and Biden is nothing more than a puppet suffering from dementia which is perfect for them to manipulate.

The Chinese know this

He was beyond naive. I suspect he didn’t realize that presidents do not control spending. To disagree with congress means shutting down the government, not a bad idea.

It was reckless, I think, to proclaim that within just four years, the entire national debt would be paid off.

One could work to pay it down; but that is an entirely different matter.

Note: Although I lean center-right, I am emphatically not a partisan. Rather, I consider myself an impartial analyst; I call the shots as I see them.

So anyone who expects me to play, blindly, for The Trump Team (or even The Republican Team) will be quite disappointed in me.

The reason we need to increase the military budget should really be obvious: China is increasing its military prowess exponentially; it evidently wishes to be the pre-eminent power (both economically and militarily) in the twenty-first century.

And if you were not simply blinded by your hatred for Donald Trump (and all that he did), you could–presumably–see this.

Trump was overly optimistic . Remember his tax cut produced $806.5 billion in federal tax revenue in the first 3 months . And his attempted cuts to the massive entitlements were declared ’ dead on arrival " over and over again by dems and RINO’S alike . If you can’t implement YOUR strategy at reducing the deficit because the fucks in office want to keep their million dollar jobs then put that on them .

I asked you a question, you keep bragging how you hate both sides who gives a shit, trumps plan would have paid down the debt, more poll working, higher wages, no inflation, more paid revenue.
Stop bitching

I am quite unaware that I had been “bragging” about “hat[ing] both sides.”

I merely said–and I will reiterate–that I much prefer to act as a careful analyst, rather than as a dyed-in-the-wool partisan. (Larry Sabato is much closer to my ideal than, say, Sean Hannity is.)

The whole reason that China began a major military build up beginning in 2003 is in direct response to America’s abuse of power to begin with… You’re making a circular argument….

As China has been pointing out since the collapse of the Soviet Union, a unipolar world is a threat to global security.

The answer is NOT more military buildup and Sabre rattling, there’s been enough of that already…

But of course we’ve got a defense industry or military industrial complex with a voracious appetite and Americans who can always and easily be scared into support for the next senseless war….

Well if it helps any, he did say in 8 years as he fully intended to serve two terms…

It was hilarious that a Trumper acknowledged a “beyond naive” president was elected in America and funnnier yet that it drew likes from two hyper Trumpers…….:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Why is everything always the U.S. fault ??? You’re always one sided.

Because he’s a typical Liberal foil to anything positive about America.
