The Current State of Sanctuary Law. The only federal law on this issue is 8 U.S.C. § 1373 , and all it says is that cities and counties cannot prohibit communication with the federal government regarding a person’s citizenship or immigration status. That’s it—“there is no requirement that cities or counties actually do anything”.
And the courts have ruled that the fed’s can’t even cut off funding to sanctuary cities.
Again, if you support a president taking matters into their own hands and ignore or violate pesky laws, are you going to be happy with all presidents doing so.
Simple common sense covers a large area. Illegals should not be here; so why are they here? Not that complicated to grasp. Enter within the frame of the law & follow the rules. Become a legal law abiding productive citizen & contribute to the welfare of our country.
