Actually it did. The Taliban gov’t ceased to exist within 48hrs of our first attack and it’s military formations were utterly destroyed.
The only thing that kept us from completely destroying every aspect of the Taliban and AQ in Afghanistan was a lack of resolve to continue the fight to the end using all necessary means.
The problem I have with your argument is that I think you actually believe something that is impossible to prove outside an actual war scenario, is true.
The bigger problem I/‘‘WE’’ have is that most of the fuckwits in Amerika actually agree with you. Namely … that a nuclear war with Russia/China/Iran is winnable.
You’re just making shit up again. I doubt anyone with a functional brain stem actually believes a nuclear war is winnable period for any of the three nations because the devastation would be so great as to set even the “winner” back over a hundred years and decimate the populations of all the belligerents.
We know the capabilities of the Russian Missiles because we’ve followed their development, deployment and use.
How many US aircraft have been downed by Syria?
How successful were they in defeating our Cruise Missile Strikes?
How many Israeli Aircraft were lost in their raids over Syria?
Read you own quoted article, in an all out war with only conventional weapons with China and Russia combined under most scenarios yes the US would be defeated.
Change those scenarios to the US coupled with either of those against the third and you get the same result with the third being crushed.
This of course assumes in the initial Red/Blue 2-1 scenario that the US is going it alone against the combined forces of Russia and China.
Russia alone could not sustain a major war for more than 90 days, they simply lack the resources to do so.
That can be said of most every war we’ve been in. The danger that exists today and is apparent in the Pentagons annual reports to Congress is the growing threat from Russia/China…
The RAND analysts conclude, however, that the U.S. could perform necessary upgrades that would restore military supremacy — and put the Americans in a position to win World War III — for an investment of $24 billion per year, or about 3.3 percent of the proposed 2020 military budget, according to Breaking Defense , largely for construction of new missiles. “The US and its allies notoriously keep underestimating how many smart weapons they’ll need for a shooting war,” Breaking Defense reported.
Don’t underestimate Israel’s IDF. They have consistently out fought armies that were superior in numbers.Their engineers have developed some of the best anti missile systems there are.
Israel will act preemptively when it’s in their security best interest. With the TOWELHEADS always screaming death to Israel why would they want missile batteries that could hit them.
There are some things that remain the same on the battlefield such as fighting without much control from high command. This is where they excel compared to the Iranians. This isn’t obsolete thought.
Put yourself in Israel’s position. If we had Russia put missile batteries in Canada and Mexican Terrorists occasionally attacking along the border , how would you react. Have a bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows with them???
