It is certainly possible to argue that the US has not always acted in a moral fashion.

But the problem comes when some–and it is usually (though not always) liberals–attempt to compare the US with some theoretical standard of perfection.

A much more reasonable comparison, I believe, would be with other great powers –of either the past or the present.

But I’m an American that lives in the US, works in the US, pays taxes in the US and it’s the US that I’m concerned with. And as such I’m sick of our gratuitous wars and abuse of power and it’s not a liberal/conservative thing as all presidents are guilty.
