How to take on Iran

Well, if we acknowledge that the US represents good, then why do we need to “balance” that good (presumably, with evil–as represented by the former Soviet Union)?

You seem to think that Iran would Park all there navy in a group and all their air force in a group for the US to bomb, and set down and do nothing.

That’s not ALWAYS the case. In terms of our gratuitous regime change wars in the ME the past couple decades, not so much, which is the primary concerns of China and Russia.

In a group or individually dispersed hundreds of miles apart from each other anything they put on top of the surface can be tracked by and targeted by air or satellite.

Anything the put under the water can be targeted by our submarine detection systems.

If you’re going to play military expert it would be helpful if you had even a fledgling understanding of our capabilities.

The US navy cannot force insurance companies to insure ships in a war zone and without insurance there will be no ships in the straits of Hormuz.

I’ll do you a short non definitive list.
Maine
Gulf of Tonkin
Vietnam
Saddams WMD’s
Hiroshima, Nagasaki
Weapons sales to KSA
Libya
I could go on but that would interfere with my plans for the rest of the year, so I’ll leave it there for now.

pssst - it don’t work anymore - tell your mates.

The truth always works for those willing to accept it rather than live a life of lies.

Thank you kind sir - even tho I detect a hint of sarcasm.

Well, that’s a laugh. They’ve been making the same or similar demands since 79. What has it gotten them?

“the US is the most moral and ethical country”

Too funny to laugh.

Iran may not have an air force the US and Israel have, but has missiles.
The concept of “navy” is based on the concept of wars in the 19th century before the invention of airplanes.
Not that warships are useless, but not effective as used to be.

Missiles have launchers, we can destroy their missiles before our ships ever get in range.

WWII forever changed naval tactics, that’s why we no longer have battleships lobbing 1,000-1,600lbs, up to thirty miles.

Now our ships can launch them at over 300 miles and our planes from over a thousand.

The first thing we’ll do is destroy their radar i nstallations and AA batteries using B2’s, F-22’s and F-35’s which are all immune to their radars. We’ll use no stealth aircraft to get them to light up the radars for the AA batteries and destroy them with PGM’s and CM’s launched from the stealth aircraft.

Those surviving missiles are then useless without guidance.

Every fixed batter position has long ago been identified. All of the movements of their mobile batteries are constantly tracked so we know where they are.

That portion of the war takes maybe 24-48hours to complete.

Concurrent with the Wild Weasel Operations are the targeting of their airforce which will still be on the ground and those that do take to the air can and will be killed at better than a 12:1 ratio due to their lack of stealth, our stealth and our long range targeting systems.

Each modern US fighter can target up to 25-40 targets before ever firing their first missile and each plane carries the ordnance to destroy 8-26 airborne targets in the air dominance role.

Then the B-1b’s and B-52’s come in protected by F-22’s and F-35’s, FA-18’s and ground based F-16’s and 17’s to dismantle the command and control concurrent with destroying infrastructure and major formations.

We then spend a month or so cleaning up what is left without ever putting a single boot on the ground.

Their ships which also carry anti ship missiles are even more vulnerable because there’s nowhere for them to hide. and all but their few larger vessels are limited to very short range coastal operations.

If the Ayatollah keeps escalating, he’ll get the war which destroys the Iranian Military as an effective fighting force once and for all.

It’s the Zionist ■■■■ and their sabbos goys who keep escalating

Yet another completely delusional claim you cannot support with any actual fact.

Amazing, but then we just need consider the source.

I would posit that the threat from Iran is the main driver influencing Trumps troop pullout in Syria/Iraq.

Wasn’t the Iraq war supposed to be over in a couple of weeks.

No. Not even close…

Based no nothing factual. He was ready to pull the troops out until Iran and Russia moved their’s in.

Yes, in the lead up to the Iraq war, many people were concerned that there was no exit strategy and that it would turn into a long ordeal. One such reporter asking Rumsfeld about the concerns of the US getting bogged down in a quagmire that lasted years and cost magnitudes more than what the Bush administration claimed it would cost (80 billion) Rumsfeld’s response was five days, five weeks, perhaps five months…
