How to take on Iran

Russian technology: What weighs 1,200 pounds, burns 55 gallons of fuel an hour, and cuts apples into 4 pieces?

Itā€™s certainly problematic for the US to be attempting regime change on another Russian/Chinese ally. Iran should just invite Russia in now like president Assad did.

How do you know this?

Not sure what Iran has; but Iā€™d bet, whatever we have, Israel has. And Israel will not ask for permission to defend Israel

You seem to be ignoring the fact weā€™ve been succeeding at doing just that since 1947 and have done so numerous times throughout history.

On Technology. Years ago I worked for Rockwell; and the shop bought some lathes from Russia or East Germany. To change speeds, they actually came with a pry bar to spring off the drive belts. The vintage WW2 South Bend ( American made ) Lathes, had a simple lever that stopped the lathe & instantly changed the speeds by sliding it to the necessary speed index. If there is one thing Russians are good at, itā€™s manufacturing clumsy machines.

Even peaceful Japan ā€” supposedly ā€” has nukes.
(Itā€™s not in the news.)
Why not Iran which has nuke plants and is constantly threatened?

The REAL reason for nuclear power is not to generate electricity. Itā€™s for nuke bombs and missiles.

Oh I completely understand why Iran should have them, that lesson has been learned in the last 30 years.

Iranians are not dumb.
The average Iranian youth is no different.
They smoke dope, listened to music of their choice, date girls, and are critical of the regime.
But when threatened, they are prepared to fight back.

If thereā€™s a war between the US and Iran it will be Iranā€™s youth that take down the regime from the inside.

Oh, I thought your motto was kill them all.
Or maybe somebody else.

You can search my entire online history for the last 20 plus years and never find me saying anything of the kind.

20 years online?
Thatā€™s insane (meaning, unusual).

I built my first website in 92.

Yep. Put small tactical nukes on bunker buster delivery systems, and thatā€™s all she wrote. I doubt if hardly any radiation would even get into the atmosphere, maybe just a tiny bit.

Not needed and the possible benefits donā€™t outweigh the potential cost of surface or higher detonations.

We can pound them into dust with just KE weapons and conventional BBā€™s.

We donā€™t have to destroy whatā€™s inside, simply bury it and leave it inaccessible.

I have heard that their facilities are so hardened that they can withstand our normal bunker busters. So you either need the nukes, or you need a new generation of super bunker busters.

Again, we donā€™t have to destroy them we just have to bury them.

Our Kinetic Energy Weapons which have no explosive at all are more than capable.
