Were you ever affected by the issue of “net” neutrality”? What was your take on that?
I was never impacted by net neutrality, in a formal sense. I have been throttled, blocked, and unlisted on more than one occasion. That’s why I always make sure I have access to my own server rack and ASN if necessary (think of an ASN as the outer edge of the internet). Net neutrality was always designed with big companies like Netflix, Facebook, and YouTube in mind. The little guys could get steamrolled so data could be prioritized for the whales. I’m glad it’s gone.
GDPR has been and continues to be a complete and total nightmare. Compliance is basically impossible although I am as close as I can be. Freebird was more compliant, but then again that was hosted in Europe.
If you go into your profile you can now download all of your data. That’s about as GDPR compliant as I am going to get until I’m told otherwise. It was a pain in the ass getting there.

Actually I’m at the tail end of the millennials and beginning of Gen Z. I was born in '97. But I appreciate you thinking that I’m older than I really am. Some say I’m an old soul…,

I respectfully disagree. I think trust is earned, but respect is given. Politness and hospitality are a given, imo. Maybe because I grew up in the South? Some people like to use this phrase to disrespect people right off the bat. People have my respect untIL they do something to disrespect me. Then they are dead to me.

How about a basic level of civility where you can call a lie a lie if you show it to be so and not be punished or threatened for doing so?
How about not being called a traitor to your own country, a paid agent of Israel, a “Shabbo Goy”, “Goyim” or whatever other insult can be made up for also being pro Israel?
How about not having half a dozen of you make unfounded accusations about trying to “control the forum” or , “take over the forum” for suggesting that maybe it might be a good idea to take down a picture that shows someone using a flame thrower or blow torch to a sitting US congress critter to protect the forum from unwanted attention from the FBI?
How about not being called a race traitor and everything else in the book for speaking out against blatant racism and pointing out such things as the fact that if you’re white you’re overwhelmingly likely to be victimized by other whites as crime victim than you are a minority?
Is that really asking too much?

That sounds fair. It lines up with the personal attack stuff that @Patriot was talking about. I’m personally good with that.

My girl…you’re starting to show some wisdom as such early age. Some of us are to old to be earning people respect, beside who the hell are they that I have to earn it? I have nothing to prove, not to anyone but God.
respect should be giving until they proven otherwise. In cases of libs…it’s only fleeting moment.

Just be honest in your criticisms and we’ll never have a problem.
Also, don’t try to turn every damned thread into a ■■■■■■ Conspiracy thread taking it off the rails.
Israel is no more perfect than any other country and ■■■■ are no more imperfect than any other ethnic or religious group.
Most of all don’t try to silence those who speak out against such things and we can be best buds even if we disagree.
You can ask all of my fellow Hannitites and friends, every one of them has had very serious disagreements with me in the past, and some of us are in the midst of a pretty good disagreement right now.
We don’t however express those disagreements with hate, lies, or unwarranted personal attacks.
If we think someone is wrong we say so and take them to task but we don’t lose respect for one another.

I think the biggest thing for everyone to remember is that “the right” has way more diverse opinions than the left. We may all disagree on a bunch of things but I do think we all seriously love America otherwise we wouldn’t get so passionate about all of these things. As long as we can agree that we all love America, everything else will be fine.

Yeah I can’t imagine, my head starts to hurt when contemplating the hoops you must have to jump through. The reason why I was asking I was involved in litigating a case at the time that involved a business where jurisdictions of country of origin was an issue regarding net neutrality and it was a headache for me too! They were a internet network company from China that was in a joint venture project with a US communications company and that issue was pretty contentious at the time.
I had not been posting in this thread in respect to its origin of direct correction from a Mod to a member.
Since it appears that this has become an open discussion on the site and various members and groups, I will now join the discussion.
Not proud or ashamed - it’s just a tool in my box that I use when I am attacked and take the gloves off. I try to avoid profanity and find it is more effective anyway.
If someone is wind up-able thats their problem not mine.
I so despise being damned with faint praise.

I thank you for being a well thought, well spoken, and well reasoned host. I thanked you on our arrival for accepting our group, and I continue in that appreciation.
I have shown no disrespect to Mods that I know of, and I don’t even know how to flag. I have about 70,000 posts on various sites and have never even been given a time-out. I simply don’t do that.
However, if Conservatives cannot call out clear untruths, and the site allows those untruths to be injected in unrelated threads, then there is no place for a Conservative here.
There is no rational person that can deny the Holocaust.
I simply cannot treat such foolishness seriously.
One poster posted a poll to kick out a group (to which I belong) on this very thread, without specific complaint against each member of that group. This is not acceptable.
If I can ask a kindness, please give those of us that chose to leave, time to pack up our kit, and find a new home.
