Healthcare: a "human" right?

No, it doesn’t seem free. And one way or another we pay for it, but less via Medicare for all than PIP’s.

That isn’t even possible unless you rationalize care and take over all of the providers.

Well that went out the window a very long time ago, and neither party does anything to shrink government. It grows, and they both spend uncontrollably. In fact, government expanded more under Bush than any other time since FDR.

Of course it die, 9-11 ring any bells? War on Terror?

When you have to rebuild a depleted military with readiness at alarming levels and fight a three front war you’re going to spend a lot of money.

That is true! I wonder in all of the left’s stupidity when they rolled out the ACA if instead the unconstitutional mandate that was imposed that if they told Americans that their taxes would be higher as a result of getting free healthcare how many would have been OK with that? My Guess is it would have been a non issue! IMO, the entire ACA legislation was a gambit to generate more tax revenue than to actually put forth a comprehensive plan, which is why it is now considered a major failure!

The ACA was designed to fail from the start to then be the pretext for ushering in some form of nationalized healthcare in 2016/2020.

Our friends that followed came here from the other place can tell you I was predicting this shortly after it’s passage and of course it’s right where we are today.

Yeah, at least W, who I admit was too much of a globalist/proggie, got something for the money.

Not like Odumber who shoveled a Trillion dollars out of helicopters, much of it to crony supporters.

It doesn’t mater, the biggest expansion of our ND occurred under Reagan, he trippled it, it’s been exploding since. Matter of fact, that inept incompetent in the WH presently promised to pay off the ND and run balanced budgets…:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You don’t even know what you are talking about. It was Obama who tripled the ND more than any president combined before him! You sure do invent a new kind of stupid continuously here!

Obama added $8.335 trillion to the public debt – more than any modern president
In 2001, the public debt was 54% of GDP. By 2009, it had increased to 77%
The Medicare Part D Bill was passed reduce the cost of prescription drugs. This added billions to the debt but slowed the cost of Medicare

Medicare operates on less than 5% overhead, PIP’s 20%…

Hey, Ronnie won the Cold War with no hot war.
And we got a bunch of cool technology that are now the basis of modern life. Oh, and pulled us back from Carters cratered economy, remember 21% inflation, it sucked.

Beats the hell out of Carter playing Mr. Rogers on TV telling us to freeze and sweat, and Obama’s cash for clunkers…

He trippled the national debt to do that. Anybody can borrow their way out of trouble. Donald was going to pay off the national debt and run balanced budgets, and we all see where that’s going …:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Reagan added Increased debt by $1.8 trillion. Compare that to Obola’s record 8.3335 Trillion and its not even close. What most people like Crusty the clown forgets or simply is purposely obtuse about, most of Reagan’s policies didn’t start to take effect long after he left office, leaving Clinton to take all the credit.

Which is a great example of how statistics do no lie but liars often rely on statistics.

On average a person will spend 3/4 of their lifetime medical dollars during the last five years of life. Why? Because that is when they are the sickest and the bills are the highest.

You need the same number of people to process 100 heart bypass surgery claims as you do to process 100 tonsillectomy claims.

You need the same number of people to process 100 hip replacements as you do to process 100 claims for childhood vaccinations.

The overhead is lower because the claims are so much higher.

Of course it does…:man_shrugging:

No he did not! Deficits and Debt are not the same calculus, and you only expose your ignorance by telling such inaccurate information!

Yeah, I don’t waste my time arguing numbers much with the Snopes dopes. They know what they know because they read it on the AlGore’s amazing interweb somewhere.

Note no attempt to argue that Obummer did not waste his debt, and Carter almost took the country into banana republic status…

The debt doubled under Obama, and it doubled under Bush. But it trippled under Reagan and trump said he would pay it off and run balanced budgets…:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Congress holds the purse, go talk to Pelosi and Ryan.

No you moron it did not triple under Reagan! Also the debt tripled under Obama not doubled!
