How many people exploit their fame for personal gain? How many people use their positions in life for personal gain? It is more common to do so than uncommon.
Yet, how many lilly white women claim to be Native American on applications that may give them an advantage over a run of the mill white person?
Trump doesn’t hide his warts. Warren was a sneak and purposely exploited minority status for potential gain. That tells me she needed an edge because she didn’t think she had what it takes. So to get there she would lie and decieve.

These days, being able to pass for white and be a bonafide minority on applications is the best of both worlds.
Used to be that light-skinned blacks looked down on dark-skinned blacks. I don’t know if that is still the case, but it would not surprise me if it is.
Or, they believe that because minorities have more rights and benefits, it gives them the edge they need to bump themselves to the front of the line.
If Warren had truly believed she was part American Indian she would have used her position to help them and be an advocate.
Had she done that, rather than shun them, I would have believed that SHE believed she was part American Indian. I could have absolutely forgiven her checking that off on her applications.
But, she treated them like dirt on the bottom of her shoe. That tells me she flat out lied and exploited for personal gain.
Have you ever been in the position to hire someone for a large business? Minority status is absolutely an advantage. It is exactly on par with veteran status.
I’m too lazy to look it up but wasn’t there a big deal over the fact that firemen and policemen who scored higher on tests were being passed over for minorities due to affirmative action?
No because you don’t know this to be true. You don’t know that they hire less than qualified people. Google is one of the top companies on the world and also the most diverse. Do you think they are forced to hire less than qualified minorities? How do you know they don’t hire less than qualified white people, because their white?
there are plenty of stories DMK, too many to mention, I remember reading this story about a black man in Canada who is a conservatives and did it the right way, he complained about the government lowering standards to for lawyers in Ontario to become lawyers because they wanted more black lawyers, even some lawyers who failed the bar exam.
He mentioned going to lawyers convention and people looking at him wondering if he was one of those, meanwhile he makes sure he has degree in full sight when anyone visits his office so they know he wasn’t one of them
poor bastard, the guy does it the right way and now has to be lumped with a bunch of losers who couldn’t get in the right way and had to cheat and get help.
Google is a bad example, as they are a specialized company their people don’t earn “minimum wage” or low wages, a google programmer earns 6 figures, they hire the best people PERIOD, they arent worried about Diversity.
Yep I am now. For a fortune 50 company. We had a requirement to interview a woman or a minority for every position IF THEY PASSED the TA phone screen.
However we had zero requirement to hire a minority or woman if they didn’t meet the qualifications after being interviewed. I never hired a person that was unqualified just because they were a woman or black. I work in technology so the pool is already small for minorities.
