What I have asked for is proof that President Trump said what you say he said and that the executive branch has the power to unilaterally make it happen if he said it.
If the executive branch does not have that power, then those who failed to take a civics course in high school may be in for a shock.
Itās not any of their inherent responsibilities. It is not within the constitutional authority of the federal government either. It is within the authority of state and local governments to decide on their role but is not their inherent responsibility simply by virtue of them being a form of government. That depends on the state constitutions, voter preference, and local laws.
I supported the public option - so pretty basic, no frills insurance. I currently support MC expansion for all.
I do not think non-citizens should have MC. Of course they should have emergency care provided regardless of ability to pay - if someone gets hit by a car, we shouldnāt leave them to die because they are Australian, or mexican, or whateverā¦ - but we should not pay for wellness visits and flu shots.
I posted the quote above. It was from a 60 minutes interview.
Trump doesnāt have the authority to fund the construction of a wall - or to make Mexico pay for it - that didnāt stop him from saying it over and over againā¦
Ugh. She makes some stupid statements. Global warming is caused by humans, itās bad, but it wonāt threaten our species (though it will threaten populations living in certain areas) or end the world.
Right - of course, all these people say things they donāt do. But thatās not the point.
Here, on this message board, people are mocking Cortez for saying something about having the government pay for something. These same people blithely accept Trump promising something very, very similar as 'well, thatās just politcs."
So, again, Cortez wants the government to pay for something = bad, ridicule worthy
Trump wants the government to pay for something = bahā¦thatās just what politicians say
She says it as if ringworm was the billionaireās fault- almost. In a public health system, the quality of healthcare would likely decline because itās now the responsibility of the government to provide that (and politicians know nothing about healthcare or each personās individual medical needs), so that would be a disaster.
I wish they would look further back and see on a larger scale what the trend is. Iāll bet dollars to doughnuts Al Gore coined the theory as a scam.
Right. I pay a privately owned and operated utility for drinking water, I buy my food at a privately owned and operated supermarket, and I bought my house from a private individual and financed it through a privately owned and operated loan institution. Access to health care is exactly the same. Right?
Where do I go to get my free food, water, sewer and housing? I must have missed those government provided goods and services because I pay for all of them.
I do, but they should be provided in a barracks, if you canāt obtain them on your own, you can have them for free, but you become a ward of the state and live in a barracks until such time as you are educated or trained enough to earn a living.
Took my children to the reservations out west when they were little, showed them around a few and told them, āThis is what the government taking care of you looks likeā. They didnāt seem too eager to sign up.
