And you still have the MSM beating their drums for the democrats.
What has seemed to work is a thriving economy. This has shaken the perception for many that the democrats are on the side of the working man or minorities when, in fact, they are not.
To me it comes down to a simple summation on what each party represents. One party is about what it can take from you, while the other is about what you can keep. Looking too deep or deeper has now become something of a pastime that offers no value in return but by design destine to rob your time.
Sometimes simplifying the meanings and representations into the “signifier and the signified” are much more effective than getting into the weeds where confusion is often found, like the hound with the Fox. Conservatives already have been given the answers but choose to ignore them because consumption is more important than production.
There’s no set time limit I’m aware of. Ostensibly he isn’t impeached until the articles are delivered to the Senate and the Senate can simply pass on it if they don’t deliver them in a timely fashion.
There’s no chance of losing the senate in 2020, if anything republicans are going to gain seats.
I like both of them but neither is presidential material and would be a a laughing stock.
There are plenty of women and minorities who are fully qualified worth considering but they will be demonized as “tokens” by the mainstream press and dem’s.
I believe he meant to say “for a year” meaning they would send the articles in December 2020…after the November election in which they hope to regain a majority in the Senate.
Actually, there are Americans that are of a liberal ideology and those of a conservative ideology, and no doubt all manner of variations thereof. Seems to me your not going to have much impact treating people you disagree with so.
Look, I grew up in Alabama with a ■■■■■■ father who graduated in the first class of Miles Law School and with a mother who worked in inner city Birmingham. The left today is in no way, shape or form the left of American history.
When one thinks about the “left” relative to the “right”, do you stop and think, “Left or right of what?” Until the 21st century, if you limited our core values as a country, the conversation would be to the left and right of Capitalism and our Republic. Any ideology that extended beyond the virtues of Capitalism and our Republic were too extremist to entertain.
Democrats today have breached the nonpartisan rules of American politics by interjecting Socialism and Communism. Democrats literally want to drive the establishment of our country from what is was designed to be Constitutionally to an entirely new entity, but keep the name of the nation. Democrats want to passive-aggressively take over the country, applying enough pressure to make irreversible changes that force a new identity, starting with substituting our Republic with mob rule through a pure Democracy and moving to Communism through elected elites.
Your party destroyed the American ideology of liberalism. Your party today is no less extreme than the KKK your party represented over a century ago. Calling your party out for the truth and accurately labeling you all with names that identify your true nature should be the least of your worries. Remove the President from office, and thereby enact war on the country and see what becomes.
Democrats have become enemies of the state, Communists in fact, supporting extremist agendas. We faught a cold war to prevent the global expansion of such ideologies. Don’t force another civil war.
There’s a lot I disagree with your post. Liberalism in the USA is not dead. In fact, it’s the ideology that controls the Democratic Party. Keith Ellerson didn’t win the DNC, Tom Perez did. Ellerson was the Progressive while Perez was the Liberal. Nancy Pelosi is a Liberal, Adam Schiff is a liberal. Barack Obama was a liberal. Who is leading in the polls now? Liberal Joe Biden. Who was the candidate in 2016? Liberal Hillary Clinton.
You also have the history way wrong IMO. I live in Wisconsin, and in the past Wisconsin literally elected Socialists into the government, especially from the Milwaukee area. They literally had an “S” next to their name for their party. That doesn’t happen anymore. In fact, the USA was key to creating the modern Progressive Movement, which is a toned down version of the Socialist Party because instead of pushing Socialism it pushes Capitalism. There was basically a convention where the Socialist Party split into two factions, the Progressive Party we see today and the more extreme Socialist Party. Centrism is alive and strong and much more dominant now than throughout most of our history. Heck, Wisconsin was nicknamed the Traitor State for how many European Socialists and Communists that immigrated here in the past. Nobody thinks of us that way today.
What you are doing here is you are taking the minority of Democrats and painting them as the majority of Democrats. It’s like if I attacked the Republican Party for being Libertarian. Well, there are some Libertarians in the Republican Party, but Conservatives control the Republican Party. This is divisive and lacks conversation about real substance. Most of this comment is emotionalized nonsense.
It certainly is. You didn’t impress me at all. Your comment was definitely nonsensical, whether you were driven by emotion or not.
Today’s liberals are replete with socialists/communists, very unlike classical liberalism which was much closer to conservative/libertarian. Just take a long look at the idiotic spoutings of the Democrat Party candidates. They’re pandering for votes from young, deluded advocates of collectivism>>>socialism/communism…that are the products of liberal “higher education” mills…run almost exclusively by liberal “professors”.
Any American with a brain knows that the Impeachment is wrong. You may claim Progressive control, but the Squad has taken full grip of your party and they represent your future. For example, your party wants to remove the electorate for a pure Democracy. And, none of you realize that the United States healthcare system subsidizes the world’s socialist healthcare framework because we produce the vast majority of capital for innovation in the space.
It’s the Manchurian Squad controlled by Socialist Technocrats who are shaping the actions of your party. No liberal centrists would have pushed for impeachment based on a telephone call whereby a President has legitimate concerns over the political interference imposed by a former VP. Remove Biden from running for office and no one questions why it would be necessary for Trump to see if the new President would look inside his camp to see what’s what.
The American people deserve an investigation into Burisma and the Bidens. We want to know if VP Biden sacrificed national security to protect his reputation and his son. VP Biden could have prevented all of this by not allowing his son to join the board of a company whose business model was garnering political favors to gain competitive advantages over their competitors. And, these are all facts.
The progressive assault on Trump through impeachment is a high risk offensive maneuver by Democrats to hide the truth about Biden. The purpose is not only to prevent such the warranted investigation, but to label any pursuers extremist conspiracy theorists. Nice try.
Your party is trying to remove a President for attempting to do something the former VP actually did, which is to withhold aid for not meeting a condition. And, if former President Obama said that he demanded an investigation into Burisma and the Prosecutor of Burisma for corruption then fine, not impeachable. But, to twist the truth of an actual national security concern into the claim that the President’s only motivation was political gain?!? No one can prove that Trump’s motive for investigation was for the hope that such an investigation would help him in that way. There is a stronger case that his motive was for national security and it pisses me off that the House Republicans didn’t focus more on defending the stance that it is the President’s constitutional right to negotiate foreign affairs independent of the Congress as the sole organ, so declared by the Supreme Court.
So, how about this, why don’t the centrists in your party focus on removing the radicals who are communists. And, Libertarians are not comparable to Communists by example in any form.
The Democrats are in a race for their party nomination right now. Of course they are going to try to pander to the more extreme elements of their party just as Republicans do during their race for party nomination, and then both sides come back to the center for the general election.
You also seem to be mixing up terms. Classical Liberalism and Modern Liberalism have always been two different ideologies, and none of them have anything to do with Socialism. Progressivism has it’s foundations in Socialism. Modern Liberalism simply advocates more government intervention than Classical Liberalism but maintains the individualist approach that Classical Liberalism emphasizes. To simplify, someone like Bernie Sanders is not a Modern Liberal. He is a Progressive. Someone like Amy Klobuchar is not a Classical Liberal or Progressive, she is a Modern Liberal. You’d be hard pressed to convince me that Amy Klobuchar is anything close to a Socialist, and that’s why I think you have your terms confused.
I am curious and wanted to ask, do you consider yourself a liberal and if so, do you seek to find common ground to discuss ideas with people who views differs than yours or are you willing go to the tribal game that most Liberals like to do? Of course the latter part of my question is based on the assumption that you are a liberal and I could be completely wrong about that so if I am apologies in advance.
