I am just identifying a necessary strategic move. I am speaking less to who should run and more to the profiles of who should run.
It is easy to get distracted by the examples I reference, they represent a dynamic that I am speaking to which is more important than the selections themselves.
Whoa, slow down there. I personally like CO and BS, not that I follow them religiously, but I like them, and marketability, their dynamic would unwind stereotypes that revolve around the GOP that need to go away. E.g. the party of racism and bigotry.
Conservatism is about limited government and meritocracy. No matter who you are or what family you come from, we all have the equal opportunity to succeed. The good fortune of some is not ammunition for ridicule. Free thoughts and ideas are the only extreme we entertain, not extreme government and taxes.
We should agree that we mesh on the concepts and allow them to bring us together than the subjects of those ideas in particular.
Iâm not married to my recommendations, but if you have alternatives, pressent them rather than insist that I hypersensitize a post on a political board.
That is ok we get it and we wonât always agree all the time.
2024 is a Long way from now and a lot can happen between now and then, such as other candidates emerging, and changing narratives. Nunes, and Don jr and two that I can see emerging not on the same ticket but as possibilities.
Let the future generations figure out where they want to go. No doubt when they start to earn and see what government wants to take for things they donât agree with? Well, then they (much to their angst) becomeâŚconservatives.
Agree. Iâm a gun-crazy, cold dead hands guy, but I donât see how we can say weâve really âwonâ when any rights we have can be taken away with the stroke of a pen the next time they get five rootless cosmopolitan judges on the Supreme Court.
Millions of people were turned into instant felons under the NY SAFE Act and similar laws for possessing rifles they had legally and safely owned for years. All deemed perfectly constitutional by our nine black-robed masters in DC.
Walter Mittyâs 2d Amendment is close to the truth on this issue:
âIn fact, in their more Machiavellian moments, the rulers could be heard to admit that permitting the people the right to keep and bear arms was a marvelous tool of social control, for it provided the people with the illusion of freedom.â
Guns are like voting â safety valves.
Then againâŚin the final calculus⌠guns (unlike voting) really do work when âŚthey are attached to a pair of balls, that is.
Exactly, thatâs the point Iâve long made. You can call them inalienable, it might make you feel warm and cozy declaring they are from god. But men can take them away.
Just out of curiosity; suppose DJT is exonerated - what would happen to the Democrat Party? Would it lose so much credibility that it would never again have the confidence of the American electorate to govern? Indeed, would it have to disband altogether . . . then what?
Well of course not. The republican house impeached Clinton, he was not convicted in the senate, and a republican president was elected two years laterâŚ
Btw, several key Senate Republicans have already declared their verdict, before thereâs even been a senate trial. And Mitch Mc Connell has already stated that he will NOT be an impartial juror. Which means that he will have to recuse himself from the process anyway as all senators will have to swear under oath that they WILL be impartial jurorsâŚ
I am very familiar with the passive sentiment for which you speak, but itâs not sustainable with the media. By the time âwe let themâ figure it out, too much damage will be done (like now).
So, before the NewMerica is complete, we need to interject. When technocrats are lurking from attorney generals to Congresspeople, successfully getting three of the most partisan and unqualified Manchurians in our Congress then we need to respond in kind.
I donât have faith that our youth can figure it out in time without the ârightâ leadership. The ole âwait till they workâ adage is as relevant as a horse and buggy.
How long can the HOR hold on to the articles of Impeachment? Is it possible that the Democrats are delaying their release until next year, hoping that the Democrats take over the Senate so that they can push their agenda through a Senate they hope will be overrun by their party to immediately remove a newly elected president? How can the judiciary intervene?
Theyâre just posturing, thatâs all this ever was. You saw MontyCrustyâs talking points above, they are claiming that McConnell should recuse himself! They think that because they have a news media who will parrot the dayâs talking points, no matter how ridiculous, they can gain some kind of propaganda advantage.
Give their war room some time to focus-group test some other notions, theyâll probably have several more ridiculous lines of argument before they finally realize that theyâre just digging a deeper hole and that they might as well just dump that sack of shit on the senate.
We need to invest in developing a culturally rich, conservative image. We need to eradicate the dubious images of racism and bigotry the Dems have duped the public to believe.
The virtue of our ideas is like a great business with poor marketing; it does not matter how superior our product is. The vast majority of people of color will not listen because they have been brainwashed to equate Republicans = Narrow-minded Racists.
My recommendation of nominating Owens/Shapiro is entirely based on the new image the dynamic of a black female conservative President and VP â â â â â â person would accomplish. It would immediately extinguish the death crip held by the Democrats labeling us racially. And, it proves that our politics and policies are unified and superior to the people who excercise them.
Once we break the racial grip of the Dems, we will be free to nominate the most qualified candidates based on merit alone. Intil we go there the public can rightfully assume the right is white and left is everything else. #harshtimes#harshrealities#unitedGOP
No, it wouldnât. What youâre recommending is appeasement. I donât know Candice Owens, but this isnât a traditional marketing problem, and having a black woman nominee wouldnât stop the 24/7 media propaganda. These propagandists need to be fought tooth and claw, exposed for what they are without any pulling of punches. They have a well-oiled smear machine, Owens and Shapiro would get shamelessly smeared just like any other opponent of theirs.
