I’m more than happy to discuss any topic you like. Start a thread on the housing market or any topic you like.
But I’m especially interested in talking about ‘socially responsible capitalism’ because Americans almost unanimously are unable to understand how that differs from communism/socialism.
There is not true and totally communist or capitalist country in the modern world today. Not China or the US for sure. Both have mixed systems and in the case of China’s, a system that has achieved huge successes which have never been equalled in any country in the world before. They’ve elevated hundreds of millions of their people up out of poverty.
Americans would do well in looking closely at the successes of the happiest countries in the world, as well as China’s success! YOur people are being shortchanged by that elusive ‘American way’ that refuses to come to your rescue.

It’s very likely that America isn’t going to nuke any country ever again. America knows as well or better than any nuclear armed country that MAD (mutually assured destruction) has neutered it’s huge military power.
America has already suffered it’s first loss since Russia and China came on the scene to assert their powers. Syria is now in the hands of America’s enemies, China and Russia.
And it’s becoming very obvious that America’s designs on Venezuela have absoultely nothing to do with that country’s people. Few are still fooled that it’s anything but oil!
This is now likely to become America’s second big loss. The US has started 40 wars of aggression since WW2 alone. I think that Venezuela may be the US’s last opportunity, and it’s become quite doubtful the world will look away and allow it to happen.
Not to even have to mention that Russia has the nuclear threat sitting off the VEnezuela coast in case of the US taking the gamble.

I am not a gun supporter and I am not American, but even I can see they have a point. Anyone who knows me here would vouch that I am not pro gun.
I don’t know you yet but I’m anxious to get there. If you’re not pro-gun then I am assuming that you are going to take a sensible approach to limiting some types of firearms in the US. After all Jen, the large majority of even the NRA is in favour of making some changes.
