China Just Went Nuclear In The Trade War, And There Is No Turning Back Now

We don’t trade exclusively with friends.

How disingenuous.

As though people on the right endorse pollution, dirty air and unclean water

You lower taxes enough so that business can be competitive. You use common sense to regulate, not overregulate out of business. You pay people what the market bears not what whomever determines a “living wage” to be.

You attract more business by doing so and in doing so increase tax revenues.

Might get your balls cut off then beadencup49…:flushed:

Well hopefully not, that’s not something that we can allow at all cost.

Fuck China America first . Take care of our own bring the work and manufacturing home . If China gets antsy we need the manufacturing base to support our war effort .

I am not American and I do not want the Communist bastard of China having an upper hand internationally over America in anything

China’s swine virus is the main culprit for reducing purchases of soybeans as a lot of that is used in feed! Price of pork is going up and China owns a few US companies that farms pork! Guess who benefits from that?

Ok, try to get off your high horse for a moment and explain why we need a trade war with China just to bring manufacturing home. You guys way over there on the fringe right have your knickers in a knot all the time, talk about revolt, revolution and civil war and fantasize about taking on the government all the time. Take a fishing trip, go camping with your son, tie a hammock between two trees and chill…

Your PROGRESSIVE IDIOTOLOGY can’t even get a handle on your own state and yet you sit there behind your computer trying to lecture the rest of us on what are rights! Pathetic! Maybe start focusing on your own state to fixing the problems that you are now facing instead regularly practicing a double standard here? Oh wait, I forgot, you are someone here who regularly post crap without shame and no self respect! What was I thinking? Lol!:joy::face_vomiting: How about it champee?

Why do you people keep running with the same lies?

Median wages have actually grown during this administration for the first time since the 90’s and 85% of Americans benefited from the tax cut.

Even if we supposed the 10% benefited so did 75% who are not in the top 10.

There is no world wide surplus of agricultural products. If China shifts to other markets that will only open up more opportunities for US farmers in other countries and this will result in driving prices up as there is more competition for our products.

No, US producers are not going to go belly up since the tariff money is being divided among them as a subsidy to keep them in business while this all shakes out.

It’s also going to result in China having to import millions of virus free and resistant breeding stock from beyond it’s own borders.

Who is the world’s largest exporter of pork? Who is the world’s largest producer of pigs?

One way or another and honestly in several ways this benefits the US long term.

Exactly! Right now, China is intensely focused on food purchases. There is no way they will survive a protracted trade war with the US, they already in a situation where the bottom line is getting desperate. The rest of the market and where demand is heading, China is being cut out and will have no choice but to be crawling back begging to make a deal. The US holds the aces in this trade dispute, and depending where China goes next could prove to be fatal for Xi and the CHICOM’s for they play a zero sum game between war and peace.

Edit:

Americans can eat a lot of cheap pork while China starves. We have far less to lose here than they do and everything to gain.

I was one of those nuts warning everyone back in the 90’s that buying Chinese products was going to do nothing but hurt our economy and build their military in the long term and here we are.

They have used our methods and our money to advance further in 20 years than most of the industrialized world advanced in a century and they’ve done it with our own money all the while laughing while we exported our industrial sector to them one company and one job at a time.

As a result of Trump’s policies US manufacturing jobs are now growing and so is median incomes for the first time in over 20 years.

Yes there’s going to be some bumps in the road but the journey is well worth it.

I guess that’s why a recession is looming, snicker…

You guys are certainly praying for one as it’s probably the only hope democrats have in 2020.

Problem is, it isn’t very likely.

China is suffering from the tariffs, but so are Americans. Trump has pulled back to protect Americans for the Christmas shopping season lmao. But come the first of the year, he’ll smack them again. We’ve never witnessed such buffoonery in our history. But he’s short, not to worry.

Now we know where Monty Muncher is getting their news and talking points from as their ignorance on such subject matters shows and is exposed So lets break this down!

White House Trade and Manufacturing Policy Advisor Peter Navarro appears on CNN to debate economic policy with Jake Tapper. As customary Tapper attempts to use the Multinational Big AG talking points to identify farmers as victims.

:diamonds:The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note dropped to 1.623% Wednesday for less than one hour; momentarily below the 2-year bond rate of 1.634%. The cause was a rapid influx of foreign capital, mostly from the EU (due to negative interest rates), into the U.S. to secure a return. This is not comparable to the historic ‘bond rate inversion’.

:diamonds:The biggest fallacy pushed in this interview, YET AGAIN, surrounds price impacts on Chinese imports. Tapper takes the talking points of the Wall Street multinationals, and their paid think-tanks, to push an empirically false assertion of the U.S. consumer paying for tariffs on China. Here’s the easiest refutation of that nonsense:

  • The Steel (25%) and Aluminum (10%) tariffs have been in place for two years.
  • The 25% tariff on $250 billion Chinese goods have been in place over a full year.
  • The current inflation rate (Consumer Price Index) is only 1.4% .

This is how dumb people like BOB O and Monty Mucher’s arguments are!

If the tariffs on China were impacting consumers, inflation would be much higher. In fact the exact opposite is happening. Because the protectionist Chinese and EU currency manipulation hits ALL imports, including non-tariff products, we are actually importing deflation .

Yes exactly. More fear mongering from the usual suspects.
