Do you believe that alcoholics should be executed?

so you believe in executing people who havent committed heinous crimes?
you want to execute them for being different?

wow, how nazi of you .

And before you say “how liberal of me” Im no liberal, I despise liberalism, leftist marxism, communism, Democrats , Democratic socialists etc.

I don’t believe in killing people who are different from us.

Cracker Barrel just BANNED him for his appropriate views on sodomites.

Cracker Barrel says it will not permit a Tennessee pastor who has made death threats against gay people to hold an event in one of its stores.

The company, which is headquartered in Lebanon, Tennessee, just east of Nashville, said it condemned his “statements of hate and divisiveness.”

Grayson Fritts, the pastor who doubles as a county police detective, had planned an event at a Cracker Barrel in Cleveland, Tennessee, for his congregation, the All Scripture Baptist Church, on June 29.

When the Tennessee Democratic Party caught wind of the event, chairwoman Mary Mancini shared a letter she sent to Cracker Barrel CEO Sandra Cochran asking the company to review the decision based on the pledge of inclusivity and diversity on its website, which calls for “fairness, mutual respect and equal opportunity.”

Figures. I’d expect nothing less from big business types in modern day America, especially from a woman CEO.

He’s a wuss. If he had balls, he’d do it instead of talking about it. Seriously, the church needs to loose its 501-C status and he needs to loose his badge.

The views of this preacher are consistent with the teachings of Leviticus. He is interpreting the Holy Bible accurately. You may not like what Leviticus says on the subject but that’s your own personal issue. It does not make this man incorrect.

He is talking about it being the law of the land as laid out in Leviticus.

Yeah right, and stone disobedient children and anyone who kindles a fire on the sabbath.

Again, your problem is you don’t like the words of the Bible.

The interpretation by this preacher is nonetheless correct.

Here you go:

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” Chapter 18 verse 22. “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.” Chapter 20 verse 13 .

Leviticus will never be the law of the land in America.

You are probably right about that. Still, this man should not be persecuted for his firmly held religious beliefs…which are also verbatim from the Holy Bible.

Ya think? Nor the Koran. We’re not going to have biblical or sharia law here. I hope you understand that.

Hate the sin.love the sinner.

No he’s not. As a Christian he should not be following Old Testament ■■■■■■ regulations and punishment laws. A Christian interprets the Bible in its entirety, in the Light of Christ’s teaching.

You are a Catholic? So am I. Here is what the Catechism says:

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

NOTE:

It must be noted that this all assumes that the homosexual is aware of the sinfulness of homosexual relations and has repented of those sins and does intend to not commit those sins anymore.

As for the UN-repentant, well, unrepentant sinners are doomed regardless of the type of sin it is.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church does not apply to a Baptist (I believe this man is a Baptist).

His argument is that guidance on not following the laws of the Old Testament were made by man. Man is not the final authority on the word of God. God is.

Again, this is his interpretation and he is entitled to hold it. His depiction of Leviticus is accurate.

I understand that. But you and me and he are all Christians, and when you said that he is interpreting the scriptures correctly, I pointed out that as a Christian, he is not.

No Christian - Catholic, Protestant, or Eastern Orthodox - interprets the Bible as saying the we should still execute homosexuals. Thats insane.

As I said: As a Christian he should not be following Old Testament ■■■■■■ regulations and punishment laws. A Christian interprets the Bible in its entirety, in the Light of Christ’s teaching.

The Vatican would be well advised to reconsider their position on Leviticus. It would solve the pedo priest problem swiftly.

I took it as him saying that the preacher’s reading of Leviticus is accurate since it is literally verbatim.

That “problem” is an invention of the media. The problem in the priesthood is homosexuals, not pedophiles.

Almost all cases involved teenage young men. That is not pedophilia, thats homosexuality.

Now, go ahead and ask me: Why did the media lie and promote the scandal as pedophilia instead of homosexuality? Go ahead and ask me. Or can you figure out the answer yourself. Its not really hard to deduce

Thats true, but as a Christian that would still not be “correctly” interpreting the scriptures since we are not bound by Old Testament Law
