Brexit Betrayal

We already knew that. Strange isn’t it, that always, it’s your most cynical predictions which come true.

The deal will prevent another vote to exit the EU.

It just gets uglier from there.
The U.K. tried to separate Freedom of Movement from the other Freedoms so that the U.K. could continue to enjoy frictionless trade with the EU while restricting immigration from the EU.
The EU wants the UK to continue with open borders.
Either the U.K. gives up its goals of immigration restriction and independent trade policy for the sake of maintaining frictionless trade with the EU, or – since the Political Declaration rules out a permanent hard border between parts of the U.K. - there must eventually be a hard border on the island of Ireland.
Once the Article 50 deadline is past, the Withdrawal Agreement would lock the U.K. into “frozen Brexit,” with the EU holding the keys to the freezer. Eventually, the UK would have to choose between hard borders, including in Ireland, or becoming a permanent EU rule taker.

This deal merely buys time at the cost of a considerably weaker negotiating position for the U.K. But the EU has already said it will not renegotiate it. If this deal fails, then the options are still no-deal Brexit, or no Brexit

I suspect they will push it towards a vote with remain an option.

Well, the “meaningful vote” finally in a few hours. May will be decimated. Will she resign? Of course not. She will cling on even if she is dragged kicking and screaming from no. 10. What next? Corbyn will call a vote of no confidence, but that won’t pass. What about the DUP?

DUP will never support the terrorist’s friend Corbyn. Vote of no confidence will not succeed. The arrogance of “2 Es at A level Corbyn” to assume that he is competent to lead the countryCorbyn_Abbott

That’s what flabbot thought

Clearly she will not resign.

One would have thought with the country in an uproar, the deal, a great deal for the EU and not the UK she would want to leave. But power is everything.

Will the voting be televised…live?

Theresa May’s supporters clashed brutally with critics of her Brexit deal today as she braced for the biggest Commons defeat in history.

The PM signalled defiance as she gathered her team despite fears that she is on track for catastrophic failure in the showdown tonight - with warnings the margin could be more than 200 votes.

And Attorney General Geoffrey Cox QC launched an extraordinary assault on those opposing her plan during the Commons debate, accusing them of ‘childish’ behaviour and gambling with people’s lives.

Mrs May is said to have told Cabinet that she will not quit regardless of the scale of the loss, as her plan is the ‘only option’. She insisted she was the ‘servant of the people’ and determined to implement the referendum result.

I still think May has played a blinder.
Just imagine - 2 yrs ago the Queen called the PM and told her to come up with a plan to ensure that we left with No Deal.
May couldn’t have done a better job, in fact what she has done is probably the ONLY way we could leave with no deal. I really hope I’m right - fingers crossed

Now May is being called traitor? Corbin just called for a no confidence vote! Yikes!

Theresa May is a traitor and anti-democratic, Jeremy Corbyn is a Socialist, terrorist sympathiser, traitor, anti democratic and dumber than a box of rocks. Theresa May will easily survive this vote, but she should resign and hand over to someone who believe in the UK and Brexit

Where is JRM? Or Farage? May over played her hand! She like Macron is toast!

Farage cannot become PM, he is not a Tory. JRM, BoJo, David Davis would all fit the bill. The 1922 committee need to pressure her to do the honourable thing and offer her resignation.

Obviously there has to be a response to this madness! I say get you yellow vest ready just in case another referendum vote happens! What a hot mess!
