I would say after 20 years the Taliban are certifiable legitimate. Why not give them a seat in govenment? Why are you so scared of ending our involvement?
He dreads having to know that his President Trump ended the war…as promised! 
If the Afghans want the Taliban, so be it.

ONLY…because Trump’s the one legitimizing a terrorist organization do you feel this way. The Taliban has been around much longer than 20 years, having their beginning as the Mujahideen. You were probably too young at the time to know, but the Bush administrations objective going in was to destroy the Taliban.
Trump’s actions make all the money and lives lost, wasted. But A-Stan isn’t just his fault, the US should have never been there to begin with.
Obama handed Afghanistan over to the Taliban, all Trump is doing is negotiating our withdrawal.
Obama took care of that by ending all major combat operations after the surge allowing them to retake all but the central province.
There was no outside interference in Afghanistan when the Taliban took over.

Again, going in to begin with was the first sin. Bush’s stated objective was to destroy the Taliban, he failed, Obama failed, Trump failed, America has FAILED.
And now Trump has sat at the table with them, legitimized them, and given them a negotiated seat in government.

I suppose giving them a seat in a government they will be overthrowing with dispatch means something. They’ve always controlled the poppies, that’s where the conflict on the ground always has and always will be decided. They live there.

No. Trump can declare victory… by pulling out and never getting involved in the Muslim world again.
Sure Trump can declare victory. But you know damn well that the US has NOT been victorious in Afghanistan. None of the objectives have been met. And now the Taliban is stronger than ever.
As to him pulling out of the Muslim world, surely you don’t think that when the US leaves Afghanistan that the US is out of the Muslim world?
That will not prevent any US President from declaring victory.
Remember, war is merely an extension of politics.
