I just don’t buy it. From 1900 to present, we had the Vietnam war, WWII, WWI, Korean War, the Great Depression, a huge recession in 08, closing on 20 years of constant war since 9/11, Reagan revolution… this isn’t even close to the biggest event in our history and Trump’s not out of line historically with approval rating. Then we have Biden which drew NO crowds, he didn’t even campaign a lot and quite a few liberals felt like Bernie had the nomination stolen from him. The demonizing of both candidates in 2016 was far worse than this election and I think people were fatigued with constant attacks on Trump. There is absolutely nothing to me that’s so out of line with history in 2020 that would justify a 69% voter turnout, hitting a 120 year high. The last time we got this high, women and blacks weren’t voting. The last time we even came close, at 60% was in 1968 at the height of the Vietnam war. Interestingly enough, that was the last time we topped 57%.
California had its highest voter turn out since 1952…
North Dakota had their highest turn out EVER!
Go state by state and you see the same thing.
This election was about Trump, nobody else. Trump brought out record numbers to the polls.
It just happens that he is that polarizing figure. And Americans do not like him and made that loud and clear with a 7 million margin for a candidate that wasn’t that exciting.
The numbers that you continue to take issue with have been certified by all 50 states. Republicans and democrats alike have certified 74 million votes for Trump and 81 million for Biden and that’s what’s getting Biden inaugurated on January 20th…
