Baby Boomers Need to Hurry Up and Die

I got my degree in Civil Engineering. I have had opportunities (lucrative choices of employment) all over the world. What did you get your degree in?

Whining and blaming everyone else for their failings apparently.

The thing that these nihilistic melenials don’t seem to understand is that a societal/economic collapse is very unlikely to bring about the ideals they seek. Nature abhors a vacuum and without a strong system in place, it will be filled with opportunists who lust for power. The US, if it survived at all, would become a second rate country just like Mexico, or Italy, or Spain, or at best, even Britain.

Being anointed “credible” by you would be an insult.

Are you so dense that you cannot see the contradiction there?

Two generations of “everybody is a winner”, “all ideas are equal”, and addiction to video games is coming to a head.

The world faces a major cataclysm about every five to ten thousand years be that volcanic activity, major meteor strikes, pole shifts. Today all it would take is one big CME to fry all of our electronics, disable all our satellites, destroy our transportation and ability to then move people, food, water, etc across the country.

How the hell would this generation be able to cope with challenges like that? Two thirds of them would be dead in a year.

Like I said earlier: they suffer from magical thinking.

Bullshit. You couldn’t pass the psyche eval necessary for a secret clearance much less anything above which would have been required.

Typical mindset of the current generation.

That little background check and interviewing friends and relatives would certainly be a deterrent to obtaining a secret clearance and a top secret would be out of the question.

The Psyche test would also identify him as a sociopath.

Well, in their perspective that is exactly what the “grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” looks like!

Britain is becoming a 3rd world country, its infant mortality is actually rising
(caveat: that stat is 2 or 3 years old, not checked recently)

Open borders will do that.

When I became an adult, mortgage interest rates were 15%-16%, try buying a house as a young adult then. They really want to complain now?

The last time things really got rough in the US, we got FDR and the New Deal.

That was when the American people still respected governance by constitutional means, now half the country wants to complete FDR’s high handed lawlessness and throw away the tatters that survived him.

Exactly, if we implode, its not freedom and capitalism that will rise from the ashes, it’s socialism and tyranny.

Socialism and tyranny are mutually exclusive

…so more likely just tyranny

Socialism is a fount of tyranny.

Virtually all the tyrannies of the 20th century were variations on socialist ideology.

Socialism has filled mass graves from one end of the earth to the other. We Americans were really blessed that we had the so-called Robber Barons who managed to industrialize the nation on the backs of commerce rooted in voluntary exchange.

Edit: given the evidence of the modern Left socialism must also be a fount of trannys too. badaboomkisk
