Trump isn’t even an attorney, he can’t micro manage the DOJ and if he tries to it’s going to be a colossal mistake, he’ll end up with a leaderless DOJ because nobody will want to hold the job under him.
That should have started with Trump talking to Barr.
Assuming that Trump has a crystal ball and knew that Barr was being a little bitch and was getting buttmad about tweets.
When you have an issue with the boss…you go and set up a meeting with the boss.
There is no AG worth their salt that would not have reacted as Barr did.
Running the DOJ is His job and that’s what he was appointed to do.
All Trump does when he goes public about what he’s going to “tell” the DOJ to do is hurt himself.
This is another case where his wounds are self inflicted.
Running the DOJ is absolutely his job, but if he is running it in a way that is not aligned to the goals and interests of the administration then he isn’t doing his job.
Which he is doing within the limits of the law and what is possible.

Besides, if Trump would lay off Twitter and pick up the phone, he could have Barr doing whatever he wants. But he’s too much the moron to figure that one out.
