Well I am not familiar with Georgia law, and I seriously doubt that this case will get tossed now that its in the national spotlight.
WTF? They didnât even point a gun at anyone. The Basketball-American was pulling the gun towards himself in a feral attack to get the gun from them after he ran up to confront the two.
Facts donât lie.
Iâm not a Georgia lawyer - but I can read. Since you didnât read my post, or the documents from the court, here is the pertinent section.
They were also attacked with the dumbass grabbing the gun. No way they do jail time. What they did was legal and they were acting in self-defense.
A lot of good that would of done when he was the one who ran up on them and attacked first - shit - you fuckers donât read a god damn thing.
I actually did read your article and you are missing my larger point that I was making. It wonât matter, if the prosecutor is intent on gong to trial then that is what they will do despite what the law states otherwise. This is an opportunity for their 15 minute of fame.
Maybe not jail time, but they could face going to trial.
They can take it to trial if they want to lose and get their asses handed to them. There is video evidence of them being attacked which is why they werenât arrested or detained in the first place. Itâs also why no charges were filed since their actions were in accordance with the law - and the police were notified of the situation in advance.
You are a lawyer. This does not pass the reasonableness test.
Regardless, you already knew as well that George Zimmerman was innocent on the "Stand your Ground statue, but that still didnât stop an overzealous AG and Prosecutor from pursuing a trial by jury. Its always a roll of the dice when going to a trial especially one that will be high profile in the media.
I donât disagree - maybe âgetting tossed outâ wasnât the right expression. Itâs going to go to trial and these men are going to walk because they literally dindu nuffin.
That is the great travesty of our criminal justice system. Prosecutors should be held to account for malicious prosecution that have ulterior motives to serve as theatrical purposes.
They should be celebrated as heroes and given a multi-million dollar settlement from the state for unjustified imprisonment. Itâs a radical miscarriage of justice for them to be charged or even questioned about the situation (unless they voluntarily talked about their heroism).
Itâs absolutely revolting that these men are facing punishment. Our society is sick and we need to hit the reset button desperately.
The arrest is all for show. They did it so blacks wouldnât go full-scale chimpout and further destroy their already destitute communities.
These guys are literally innocent.
âŚuntil proven guiltyâŚif that be the verdict.
I donât know about you guys but I always go for a 12 mile jog in my TimberlandsâŚ
Betcha Wendyâs killer never got the attention that Ahmaudâs alleged killers have gotten. White lives donât matter.
And donât forget about Christopher Lane, shot in the back while jogging.
I donât remember people taking to the streets over these people.
Most so-called âjournalistsâ in the USA are prostitutes who just sell out to the highest bidder. They care NOTHING about the truth or accuracy of what they âreportâ. They are paid propagandists who just spout whatever their handlers direct them to based on what will be most profitable for the pigs that own the news outlets.
It was a crime of complete IGNORANCE - you canât say it was mistaken identity because thatâs just another way of saying âall Black people look alikeâ - Also this Vigilante Riding - Shot gun from a Pickup Bed is about as old-timey redneck as you get (gives us a bad name) - I DONâT CARE what kind of association they had with law enforcement either - they were not on the job!
After I first heard of this, and saw the stampede to make these guys murderers, I waited to find out more, because something didnât smell right. It smells worse, the more we learn. Iâm thinking now that this is another media frenzy where we only get half of the story.
The other half is likely that this guy is a burglar, was looking for places while pretending to be a jogger, and he was a violent person who got violent with the wrong guys.
Thatâs the most reasonable assessment Iâve read so far.
