Perhaps the New Zealanders are realizing that their country is moving towards socialism, and turning in their guns may be a bad idea. It’s fortunate that the US has the Second Amendment.

The media made it sound like people were lining up around the corner to surrender their guns to the government. I didn’t believe it when I heard it and I am glad that this story confirms my suspicion.
If anyone still thinks that the media is on your side this should be a wake up call.
I say that is a pretty bold statement that the Kiwi’s have made thus far! But one thing to also be reminded of it was a voluntary suggestion. When the government issues a mandatory directive for everyone to turn in their weapons, much like what Australia did, then I will be more impressed to see if Kiwi’s are willing to take the room temperature test!
When I was a young man it was said in gest they would take my weapon from my cold dead fingers. It ain’t funny or said in gest these days.
