A New Trump Executive Order May Make More Health Care Prices Public

"Einstein claimed that if you were to strip naked and run in a circle around a tree at the speed of 298 KM/sec (the speed of light) you would probably be able to sodomize yourself.
In an effort to conserve your energy, you can easily achieve the same result by supporting Democrats in anything they do”.

This is simply a lie! Premiums quadrupled under the ACA and is the reason why is was allowed to fail in the first place. It was the insurance companies who benefited not the consumers.

The 26k number that I cited is the Federal Poverty Level (last I checked). If someone makes over that they are no longer eligible for Medicaid. My snark and sarcasm must not have come through over text.

My point was that is such a little amount of money, but it is enough to take people off of Medicaid. Republicans also hate people who don’t work…but if working would take away healthcare why do it?

Was the topic lowering the cost of healthcare or making healthcare prices public.

You seem to have gotten off track.

So, let’s recap:

Clinic A in town A charges $1,500.00 for an MRI.
Clinic B in town B charges $500.00 for an MRI

Because prices are public which would you choose?

If you choose B then the cost has been lowered for you. If you choose A then you are a democrat.

Your family doesn’t have to do jack for you.

Based on your logic, when your mother gets too old and inconvenient, you’ll dump her in a government run facility. Cause, ya know… the burden and all shouldn’t be on families. Sick stuff you libs promote.

In addition to increasing the cost, government control of health care would produce results similar to those it did for the VA system: long waits, rationed care, incompetent staff (including doctors) that could not be easily fired for cause,…you name it.

We should looking for ways to decrease government participation in health care issues rather than increase it.

Wrong attitude if you are looking to make something of your life.

But, right attitude if you are trying to find the sweet spot to max yourself out on government cheese.

Erp… It is insurance. Ya know… The thing you buy just in case?

Kind of like…If you live in a flood zone you buy flood insurance… Just in case?

Kind of like if you drive a car you buy collision insurance…just in case?

Ever buy cancellation insurance on a flight…er … just in case?

Common… you can’t be this dense.

It really comes down to a simple equation. Bernieites like yourself believe in government intervention to fix all your problems. Conservatives believe in self reliance and less government. It is quite that simple.

If people didn’t work then where do you think tax revenues would come from to pay for the entitlement spending you so champion? More people working means more revenue for the Treasury department. Money doesn’t appear out of thin air like some of you believe.

I totally agree. The writing is plainly on the wall for anyone who wants to take more than a cursory glance at the facts.

However, we are not arguing logic and facts here. What is being argued is to take from the “rich” and distribute it to the government so it can trickle down.

Same old “big government” is going to “take care of me” better than I can think or take care of myself.

Seriously pathetic and an example of the wussification that clings to the democratic/socialist party.

You would think it is not too much to ask for to have a simple understanding on how a free market healthcare system works, but as it stands so far I observe responses that are purely based on emotions and not rooted on a cogent argument. It kind of reminds me why I am not a democrat or a liberal for that matter.

Liberals do NOT give hope! Liberals give defeat!!
“You can’t take care of yourself, the government has to do that for you!” is their mantra!”
We are born, we face hurdles, and we die!
There are two types of people. The people who jump their hurdles and the people that cry in front of their hurdles. The people who jump their hurdles get stronger, happier, and those who cry in front of them remain weak and feeble.
Liberals want to use government to remove all the hurdles.
THAT is not hope!!!

Hope is, “You can do anything you set your mind to and you don’t need government to take care of you!”

I want to surround myself with strong independent minded people not weak intolerant hypocrites who fail at self awareness and self reliance!

I support insurance.

Like car insurance, INSURANCE is not something you get AFTER you have an accident.

This is where basic fundamentals of economics 101 is where you are lacking. Insurance does not mean a thing if you can not address pricing in the free market place. The biggest mistake your boy Obola and the party of stupid (Democrats) made was passing a health care bill without addressing the cost issue first. Who do you think has a monopoly on health care and prescription prices now? Who has been Washington’s biggest lobbyist and most responsible for why prices were allowed to rise artificially? If you can’t see these aspects and issues then you have no idea what you are talking about. Supporting a mandate of free healthcare for all entitlement is not a one size fits all solution. Yeah I would say it is you that is not getting it, and you really don’t understand the actual health care issue and how to fix it which is probably a large percentage of your base!

The fact that democrats and Bernieites like you can’t put forth a substantive argument is the reason why you will continue to lose elections.

This pretty much sums up the perception of your beliefs and what you actually stand for! Which is really nothing at all when challenging people like you for details.

The Federal government regulations of private health insurance has caused all the problems with the high costs of heath care, the only involvement Federal government should have is TORT reform Medicare & Medicaid and let HC Insurance companies operate in a free market competitive environment offering a variety of different employer based and individual based plans, HC costs would plummet 30-35% or maybe more.

Each State can vote for and enact their own medical welfare programs to cover pre-existing conditions & child health care for low income residents.

Im glad you’ve came to the realization that the welfare state disincentivises people from working.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least since my family has been in the pharmaceutical business for about 90 years now.

Let’s start with this. Congress should pass a law that those companies must all sell their drugs at the same prices no matter what country the buyer is from.

The US consumer, taxpayers, and insurance companies are in effect subsidizing low cost pharmaceuticals for the rest of the world.

It’s US that gets stuck with the bills for all of their development costs, liability costs etc while those abroad purchase the same drugs at a fraction of the prices we pay.

We pay that cost directly out of pocket, through insurance premiums, copays, coinsurance etc, and with our tax dollars since it’s the gov’t that is the largest single payee for pharmaceuticals.

You just demonstrated you have no idea on the subject at all.

Look past the bottom line on your bill and try to figure out what the charges are for, who’s paying them, and why they are so high.

You aren’t entitled to anything you don’t earn through your own work.

Well no, you haven’t learned anything other than how to parrot lies pumped out by the DNC.

Add PHI’s to the equation who operate on a 20% overhead as compared to Medicare which is under 5%.

Mostly because netiher Medicaid or Medicare actually pay the cost of care. They are both net losers which is why many providers refuse to take them.
