There’s an old saying: it’s a poor comedian that blames his joke bombing on the hearer.
Trust me, I’ve told a few huge kabooms in my day. The biggest humor malfunction I’ve ever had (told it in college) had one fellow concerned I was going to go all UT shooter on folks it was so bad, miscalculated, badly delivered etc.
(Imagine a joke so bad that you’re lucky to not be on a terror watch list?)
So I guess I’ve managed, as a result, to avoid similar genres of really bad. And at the same time maybe not recognizing them.
This thread is beyond derailed. It’s going nowhere fast.
