You don't own your property. You rent it from the government.

90% Luck? Could there be some other causation involved besides happenstance? I think so.

I agree that very wealthy people should not get away with screwing the little guy and excessive greed is over the top. These are big corporations avoiding taxes. At the same time, they are creating jobs and that is where things need to be more equal in pay. But face reality, not everyone has equal capability. Corruption and collusion is a horrible thing.

Property taxes are a huge burden to regular homeowners and there is a big distinction between a regular property owner and a large corporation.

This image of the “rich asshole” who is randomly, just “lucky” is a fake boogieman.

Corporations where the corporate owners actively squash the “little people” can be exposed. In my opinion consideration for employees would be patriotic, but I think unions pushing excessive retirement pensions, pitting one group of employees against another, with their own unbridled greed, is just as bad.

Entrepreneurship in the USA is the best way for the “little people” to avoid working in jobs they don’t like. Future automation developments will shake out a lot of monotonous jobs anyway. Those clamoring socialists blaming the rich, need to stop sitting on their thumbs and create their own businesses that create positivity for themselves and the community.

Small but strong government is important.

That is why I am and will always be for the flat tax plan! Eliminate all loop holes and everyone pays!

Sounds like your rant is more to do about envy than to actually getting to the root of the problem. Playing the victim all the time and castigating a particular class of people is always a failing argument. If you hate the system so much then do something to change it, otherwise quit your bitchen or get out of the kitchen as the saying goes! In other words come up with a solution!

What I absolutely hate are personal property taxes. If you have the misfortune of living in a state that has personal property tax you get to pay for the privilege of owning your car every single year. I’m not talking about registrations or inspections because you have to pay for that too… I’m talking about when the local government does an assessment of your vehicle’s worth and then sends you a bill every year for owning it.

In what state does that happen? I can not say I ever heard that one before.

I don’t want to give away my location but my state is on the list and is among the highest.

That is freaking BS!

Tell me about it. I blow a gasket every year. The first year I owned a brand new F-150, my first ever brand new vehicle, I got hit for a tax bill for nearly $2000.

That seems unconstitutional to me. I am surprised that this tax exists in South Carolina a state I was seriously considering moving to.

Outrageous! Please—Don’t tell CA!
