Iran has officially attacked Israel, so the bigger question is: Does this recent development mean the start of World War 3? I hope not, but this is very troublesome and what happens next will be telling of a much larger narrative.

Now the ball is in Israel’s court.
Iran’s action is the retaliation against Israel’s assassination of Iranian generals in Damascus. Iran surely consulted Putin and notified the US of its intentions and nature of attack, which permitted Israel to be prepared.
If Israel takes actions against Iran, Iran will retaliate.
It is amazing that Iran had not retaliated against repreated Israeli provocations until Sunday. Now it’s different because Iran has seen Israel’ weakness and failure in Gaza.
