What you are talking about are social values, not morals. I agree, teachers should not be teaching the politically correct version of social values in opposition to the moral values of the parents or the child’s religion.
They are highly-educated individuals, but they are also human. Medical school, from what I hear, tends to be pretty rigorous, and weeds out those who cannot make it academically. The interview during the admissions process weeds out those who do not have the personality for it.
Doctors, while they are trained extensively, are also wine and dined by the drug companies, but on the other hand, many are still cautious about perscribing opioids, benzos, etc. (Any addictive drug). Laws are also cracking down on opioids (at least in OK), and so doctors are pretty much required to be cautious, or their license may get revoked.
