Ukraine is waiting for the muddy roafs to dry before starting its offensive. Why take the chance on bad roads. Thru poor strategy, Russia and Wagner Group have taken unnrcessary high casualties and equipment losses in Bakhmut and may loose the city.
Partisans inside Sevastopol have destroyed fuel storage tanks needed by the Russian Navy and Russian people are leaving the city.
Russian Generals have learned nothing from Germanys misstakes in Russia during WW2.
Whose benefit will that be?
Certainly not Ukraineâs. They donât have the numbers, nor do they have the equipment.
Iâm still wondering why Russia sent missiles to attack the ISIS (and a command center built in a mountain) from ships in the Caspian Sea?
There was a Russian fleet in the Mediterranean.
Bakmut is a shining example of Russian Army tactical thinking. They have wasted thousands of lives engaging in this costly block by block battle. But again Russia doesnât care about the casualties to take an objective and this has gone on 10 months.I guess there was no pont in taking surrounding cities and encircle Bakmut. No challenge in doing that and the Ukraine Army still is in Bakmut. Russian soldiers better wear running shoes when Ukraine begins its offensive theyâll need them to flee the Ukrainian Army.
Apoarently you havenât learned anything about Germanys struggle with the roads in Russia in ww2.
Germany was not ready for a long, grinding war anywhere. German troops were freezing because their clothes/uniforms werenât warm enough for the winter in Russia. (Same for Napoleonâs army).
Germany expected Britain and America to stay out because they would have nothing to gain. In fact, Britainâs fall in its importance was accelerated by (joining) WWII.
This channel seems to report the events factually.
Itâs also a plus, not to be bothered by a Russian accent. LOL
You missed the point about the weather and roads which was a big factor.
Muddy roads and fields are more disadvantageous for Ukraine.
Russia is not in a hurry, while Ukraine is hell bent on an âoffensiveâ ASAP.
Itâs Ukraine that is ready to sacrifice thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of its troops, literally come hell or high water, for the sake of a silly political gain.
Oh, by the way, the rainy weather in southern Ukraine was dubbed the âPutin weather.â Boy, the guy gets all the credits for anything that is disadvantageous for the west.
How is a 7 to 1 kill ratio equates to the Russians wasting lives? Am I missing some basic math here?
Actually, itâs a lot worse. If you take Bakhmut and other places into account, itâs like 15:1.
Assuming the Russian dead are about 10,000 and Ukrainian dead at 350,000 (Scott Ritter estimate), it will be 35:1.
At first Russia tried not to kill Ukrainians to the best of their ability, but now the gloves are off.
I thought the objective is to wound not kill soldiers ? For every soldier wounded means more resources have to be expended. No?
To wound the enemy combatants without killing them is hard to achieve.
Scott Ritter (or maybe Col MacGregor) said that the ratio between the âwoundedâ and âkilled in actionâ among Ukrainians is low. Itâs like 1.5 : 1, while other armies is like 3:1.
This means that many Ukrainians are dying from their wounds due to lack of medical care (or their commanders donât care).
I donât and canât see in any scenario where this ends well for NATO or Ukraine.
