Armageddon refers to an actual place, southeast of Haifa, which is Israel’s second or third largest city. Armageddon comes from Hebrew “har megiddo” which means mountain (or “tel”) of Megiddo, an ancient Canaanite settlement sitting on a trade route between Egypt and Mesopotamia.
