When I first encountered this story and learned more about it, it confirmed to me that life was indeed stranger than fiction. As this story seemed scripted right out of a Hollywood movie, or perhaps a Law and Order episode. The question is, how did this town allow this criminal degenerate to be elected in the first place especially considering the Mayor they elected had both a sordid and criminal history? Maybe this is just the state of our country where such things happen by chance during a state of disrepair and people particularly voters stopped caring altogether.
This is pretty embarrassing for both the state in which this town is located and the country.
