There is a period of time after which removing a “like” is not allowed.
There is a period of time after which a reply cannot be edited.
I suggest that the ability to remove a “like” should be reinstated after a liked reply has been edited.
It is clearly easy to completely change the nature of the reply by simply inserting or removing the word “not”, or by otherwise significantly changing the statement originally liked. Unless the user that liked the post is notified of the change, it may go unnoticed until it’s too late to remove the like.
