Think twice before calling cops on a "person of color"

He could have asked but even then I would have had no requirement to show it. I wouldn’t have answered him had he asked anyway, I would have dodged the questions with another question.

You are absolutely INCORRECT no matter how many times you repeat it. There is no teeth behind LTC on demand, it was crossed out and I proved it. Why was it crossed out? Because they said the penalty would be covered under 38.02 and there was no reason to hit you with a double penalty because you had a LTC. Go educate yourself.

As to driving, show me the code that says you have to ID regardless of offense. I’ll wait since you refuse to accept the reality of 38.02. Point blank, in Texas, they CANNOT pull you over for no reason and demand ID. They MUST present a crime which puts you under lawful arrest.

Again, I never once told the police I was carrying, no matter how many times you want to try to repeat the lie. Again, a report is NOT enough for a lawful arrest. If it was, this would be a fucked up place. There has to be corroborating evidence (RAS) when the police show up to the scene for them to make an arrest. If that wasn’t the standard, I could call the police on anyone at any time and send them to jail for the night just to be an ass.

I’m misinforming NO ONE, I’ve quoted actual law while you continue to post opinion.

The penalty is covered under unlawful carry and obstruction in this case.

You can argue otherwise till hell freezes over and you’ll still be wrong.

You were lucky, not smart, and definitely not right.

Back to the topic of this thread, if you call the cops on someone you THINK is carrying a gun where this law is in effect, and he’s not carrying, you’d be OK if he was a white guy, but not OK if he was black.

Pretty much. The statute criminalizes calling the cops on minorities if the cops disagree with your motives / think you were overreacting.

More white privilege.

Texas…apparently.

You continue to spew bullshit. Show me the obstruction law. Show me unlawful carry relating to me. He had no corroborating evidence that I was carrying unlawfully relating to the call. Had he arrested me for failure to ID, HIS ass would have been in a sling, not mine. Do I take the ride? Sure. Do I file a lawsuit after? Absolutely.

What I did was lawful and your opinion doesn’t square with the laws I’ve quoted no matter how many times you repeat it.

Again, I’m not sure why the hell you seem to think you know more than this cop knew.

Pretty much. The retarded thing is they don’t see the inherent racism in the law. If people would stop seeing through the prism of color, maybe we could start acting like Americans again.
