While it is true that the sort of engineered stupidity that is cultural Marxism could have been introduced by other hostile ideologies – Islam which has so easily capitalized on the Cultural Marxists was arguably already somewhat set to try something similar through the efforts of certain secularists who sought to elevate Islam in history in order to push down Christianity in the West – I don’t know of any that gave the appearance of intelligence to the argumentation of the foolish and / or evil that could so easily prey and manipulate upon envy, sense of entitlement and being somehow wronged by history as communism did. The secularists who might have enabled a later effort by Muslims were generally in their own lands and so they would have had less motivation to create idiots incapable of sustaining a civilization as did the Soviets looking at foreign countries they would have great difficulty conquering.
And as for Islam, even if some genius Jihadi had in that Marxism-less world dreamed up something like Cultural Marxism to bring down the West they would have to deal with Islam itself being less appealing to the people that Cultural Marxists so easily subverted and corrupted.
So I’m guessing the sheer idiocy that is the Left for which there remains no more extreme Left that’s extreme to them anymore would have been hard pressed to evolve at all out of mere secularism where the people pulling the strings were themselves residents with any vested interest in the long term prospects of the nation.
