Somehow the astronomical body came back and hit earth again. The double whack theory.

From what I heard, the moon is even older than Earth and is brought from outside the solar system after having been in use for billions of years somewhere, and parked in the exact position to appear as the same size as the sun, seen from Earth.
Also, it rotates exactly once as it goes around Earth, so that the far side always remains hidden from Earth.
What are the chances of that happening by chance?
Look at it this way:

I asked a geologist if anybody had calculated the point of equilibrium when the moon stopped moving away from the earth and the earth’s rotation ceased slowing.
He told me yes, and that the answer is “29”.
When that time arrives we shall know whether the moon has an offset mass distribution which is keeping its smiley face phase-locked with the earth, or whether it is actually freely rotating at 0.00935 radians per hour.

If tidal locking is the order of the day, what are the chances of synchronous rotation for Earth and Moon (whose orbit is not a perfect circle): spin-orbit ration being at exactly 1:1?
