Obviously Blair is fighting for a cause he believes in but I am curious how much of the energy he is putting into speaches for the cause is actually more for money. I suspect he is being handsomely rewarded for his presence in giving these speeches because he can gain access to platforms the real drivers of remain cannot get to.
Soros / Rothschilds / European commission for instance wouldn’t necessarily be allowed or able to gain the limelight that Blair is getting and therefore they will have to pay for the privilege of having someone like Blair doing their dirty work.
I wouldn’t doubt any of that for 1 minute Rob. No different than when he was PM. They can pull the puppet out of the drawer at any time and back on active duty for the right price.
I suppose we would all do it if we could
There is nothing I can say that wouldn’t sound like sour grapes, so I won’t say anything.
What I do find interesting is if organisations are prepared to pay those fees I wonder what the conversion value is ?
I am not sure the conversation value is what they are after. The connections to whatever else is in someone like Blairs toolbag is probably more important to them.
A name or two to open some doors is generally what big players are after so paying a high price for a speech provides the smoke and mirrors…
That is what I mean, regardless of his spiel it must convert to something of value, whether that be direct access to lucrative contracts, a contact who can get you top of a list for something, swaying public opinion for a war, resulting in arms deals etc etc
This is an interesting book along the lines of this discussion.

This petition is getting nearly 2000 votes per hour atm
No not really. I do wonder if they declare that to potential suitors ?
I think it could be quite damaging for a young fella to realise he has fallen for it without knowing what lurks beneath.
Of course not. Especially not in a dark night club
Thankfully dark night clubs are no longer a consideration.
Maybe Trump’s alleged “grabbing 'em by the crotch” was just his way of checking.
He might need to use that line once his presidency is over and someone tries try to take him to court
