The Rabbit Hole

I thought HK was a backwards and forwards situation. Anyway I’m sure you will have people in mind upon your return. I’ll raise a glass for a safe stash :+1:

Thanks brother! I will seek them out I am sure! We are getting ready for that final push before the Chinese New Year here! Been working hard to earn that happy hour toast!

I will never go AWOL! I believe we will get the wall and I believe y’all will get BREXIT. I have said many times it ain’t gonna be easy to get things back on track. It appears the US is losing its manhood and ideals of capitalism. Fact is everyone concentrates on MSM and it is the propaganda arm or the marxist democrats. Those of us out here are as determined as ever to save our country. I know that there are Brits across the pond that are as determined to save the Union Jack. It has just been announced the FAA is shutting down NY as the air controllers cant handle the traffic. Trump very close to having excellent reason to declare national emergency.

Come to South Carolina. We still develop our youngsters to be men and women. We started one civil war and we’ll damn well do it again if it comes to that!

Hey, we changed the world and elected Trump.

That should count as a downpayment!

That is why I am teaching a bunch of teenagers how to shoot, hunt, and survive out in nature.

We gave up one engineering salary to homeschool, and ever hear of Trail Life?

My kids facepalm when ever they see Occasional Cortex on TV. They know that FDR and LBJ were both 4 letter words.

And you don’t realize that I am a Boomer. I know who’s all talk here.

Wait a cotton pickin’ minute!

You are yapping about me from overseas, while I am fighting the good fight here in the states.

That is pathetic.

Yes, you changed the world, but no one changed the world more than the British. Yes, you voted Trump, and we voted leave. So tell me objectively why you are any better than us? All mouth and no trousers methinks.

Tell me where they are. I’ll send you a report. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t really understand this homeschooling. Why not private schools? Here we have effectively a two tier system. The state schools brainwash cultural Marxism and snowflakery, as you can probably guess. Other than the grammars, academically they are shite. Private schools are the polar opposite. I can’t see how parents can provide such a wealth of education, culture, music and sporting competition that a child would gain at school. My younger one is in Year 3, 7 year olds, and they are all taught different subjects by different teachers, all specialists in their field. You would never see that in a state school and I know that there is no way I can match any of that, even if I had the time or inclination to try! The kids do a lot more than what is expected in the curriculum - for example in senior school, they design and take products to market and obtain the funding to do so. It’s quite impressive stuff. Seeing them exhibit their wares is like visiting a trade show; they will talk confidently to you about anything you care to throw at them, but then you may just forget these are kids! I know some of your private schools are similar to ours. The senior school (of where my kids go) is twinned with a school in New Jersey and they do exchanges every year.

Also there are often political figures visiting, giving talks and I have noticed that every one has been an old school Conservative and staunch Brexiteer, lol.

Homeschooling still requires that a curriculum is followed.

Some colleges here have begun to welcome applications from homeschooled students.

Yes of course it is. It is the same here. That is not my point. My point is questioning how one or two people (parents) are best at not only delivering that curriculum but all the added extras. A curriculum is only the bare bones of what the state expects a child to achieve academically. Pastoral targets are not part of any curriculum.

Don’t make me put you on ignore! You should get offf you high moral horse, you know nothing about me, my situation or why I am over seas!
