What’s funny is that it’s mainly Trumpers who are trivializing the virus. But think about what Trump has done.
He declared it a National emergency. He created a task force to fight the “enemy” and declared himself a war time president. He asked Congress for an unprecedented stimulus, and made certain that Americans knew where it came from, insisting that his name be on the checks. He restricted travel between the US and China, then Europe, and restricted cross border traffic at both Mexican and Canadian borders. He praised both California and New York’s governors for leading the way with stay at home orders, he invoked the DPA, a first since WW2, He vowed in his State of the Union Address to “take all necessary steps” to protect Americans from the coronavirus.
In fact, here’s his brag sheet of everything he’s done and the copious amounts of money he’s spending in a virus that he and his supporters allege is no more dangerous than the seasonal flu…
And he thinks he distances himself from owning Covid 19 by refusing to wear a mask, even as his White House task force has announced this morning that sufficient testing has been conducted to confirm that face masks reduce the spread of CV19. And yet he’s making everyone that comes near him be tested, daily and he’s supposedly taking chloroquine to prevent himself from becoming infected even though there’s no scientific evidence that it does so… https://www.donaldjtrump.com/media/timeline-the-trump-administrations-decisive-actions-to-combat-the-coronavirus/
I don’t depend on mods enforcing the rules, I just point out sniveling phonies when I see them. This Monte seems more like the New York “drop dead ya joik” Monte rather than the effete California “can’t everyone get along” Monte
I won’t even ask you to cite my conspiratorial fear mongering in this thread. I was commenting on your absolute ignorance of science and inability to distinguish between science and a scientist pulling opinions out of his butt.
Well first, I’ve made no claims to be a scientist, so your insult about my scientific knowledge fails. Otherwise, it’s funny how often the Trumper criticizes the Trump administration…
There is no question the PNAC “published” their agenda by posting it among the billions of documents on the internet. The issue is a lack of proof this agenda drove policy making. You have blathered away at least 6 comments insisting it did without a shred of proof it did. That’s a conspiracy theory pure and simple.
Since there is no proof to support the PNAC drove the Bush administration conspiracy theory after nearly 2 decades, speculation isn’t proof, how about a reaction to leading contemporary Democrats proclaiming they are going to use the Chinese virus pandemic as a vehicle to enact their agenda?
Ok, at least we got that far. Of course their agenda influenced policy making as many of the agendas king pins were then incorporated into the Bush administration and set out immediately to advance that agenda. And the “new Pearl Harbor” event that they previously suggested would be the catalyst to do so…came just months after they assumed office…
As to the Democrats, they absolutely are going to take advantage of the crisis to advance their agenda, but with republicans controlling the senate and White House, they can’t get anything passed that republicans and Trump sign on to.
