Speaker Mike Johnson, Republicrat, LA., hears today that his House Speaker Seat is secure. The Dems revealed today that he has the complete support of the entire Dem House membership, including the Squad and Hakeem Jeffries. Thatâs undoubtedly because our guy helped their guy slip thru a set-aside in the Ukraine War Aid Bill for $3.4 billion to set up two refugee processing centers in the Middle-East for distressed peoples. Guess who that might be? Refugees are different than immigrants; when admitted they are permanently granted all citizen rights, including SSN & Medicare. The Egyptians, Jordanians, Qataris, Saudi, Syrians, Lebanese, Turks, Iraqis, and Iranians donât want the 2.1 million Hamas militants in their midst stirring up trouble, but Joe thinks we can handle a few hundred thousand. Several important Israeli govt officials have strongly recommended those western critics of how they are conducting the war with Hamas accept substantial numbers of Gaza refugees. So far, only Biden has responded positively. If you approved of the pro-Palestine riots in our formerly upper echelon universities, youâll love an American-hating family as your next-door neighbor. They wonât live next to Joe. (Unless of course they are convicted of federal crimes and sent to Leavenworth, Kansas.)

One thing we (who live outside the Middle East) should know is that not all Arabs are the same. They have their version of nationalism.
Thatâs why the rich Arabs from Saudi and Gulf States have never given a damn about the plight of Palestinians. The Egyptians donât like them either, partially because the Palestinians are hard-working and have some sort of nationalistic cohesion, albeit not as strong as that among the Swedes or Japanese. The Egyptians fear that the country may be taken over by the Palestinians if you let them in. Numerically it is not possible, but people never like strangers. Thatâs human nature.
BTW, modern Palestinian Arabic is distinctly different from the Egyptian dialect, not only in pronunciation but in grammar and phraseology. At the same time the dialect used by the Bedouins in the arid areas of Palestine in the south is also different.
The West Bank (of the River Jordan) which is under Israeli occupation since 1967 is part of Jordan, and those Palestinians in the area are Jordanian citizens. When their land is taken (stolen) by the Israelis, the King of Jordan does nothing, because he is a Hashemite transplant and prefers to work with the west and Israel. When Iran launched drones and what not toward Israel, the Jordanian military actively tried to shoot them down. Probably his days as the king are numbered because he does not enjoy a strong support from his Jordanian subjects, many of whom are Palestinians and their sympathizers.
