You do realize that tax breaks are how companies are recruited to set up shop in major cities, right? It’s been going on for decades and should continue. A business should seek the most favorable tax situation possible to keep prices low for the consumer. The cities benefit from this arrangement as the workers pay federal, state, and local taxes while spending their hard earned money on the local economy.
Yes, this arrangement is far more favorable than handing over money for nothing.
