The Total Cost of Illegal immigration exceeds 113,000,000 annually.
Add to that the costs we bear at the local, state, and federal level dealing with all of the contraband such as drugs, guns, and money that constantly flow back and forth over our southern border?
Most of the opiates and coke and an ever increasing percentage of the meth, all of which are destroying young Americans in every state comes across that border as well. Imagine how much American would change if we could cut off even half, much less 2/3 of the illicit drugs crossing our southern border? How many million fewer addicts and incarcerated criminals would that add up to? How many fewer crime victims on this side of the border? We can’t measure those benefits in terms of dollars alone.
Even if it cost 10bn to build, man, monitor “The Wall” we’d pay for it in a decade.
The only question that should matter though is, “What is the long term cost of not securing the border?”.
In reality, what it will cost us is our country and democrats don’t give a damn because they feel assured that they will have secured permanent power in whatever version of the US exists thirty years from now.
