The Actual Plan to Confiscate Your Guns and Have You Dragged Out of Your Home

Yeah, Trump is just the equivalent of boiling the frog slower at a lower temperature, but in the end the frog still boils.

Gun confiscation is going to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. No self respecting gun owner is going to comply with it, and the cops know it. They aren’t going to risk their necks confiscating guns from people if there is a chance that they will get shot in the process. If the police are afraid to persecute dissidents out of fear of retaliation the power structure will be dramatically weakened.

We shall see about that.

I know some will resist, but how many? How many REALLY will?

Trump shouldn’t have offered to partner with social media companies to go after gun owners…I completely agree…that was the wrong move. I don’t think that will lead to full confiscation though. Red Flag laws will be challenged and they will go down as unconstitutional.

Moot. It will always be effortless to locate & acquire an illegal fireman & ammunition. I don’t believe our politicians want to turn law abiding gun owners into criminals.

There is still the Second Amendment, They can’t get around it unless they change the Constitution, and that was intentionally made extremely difficult to do.

That’s the part that could make a lot of people very angry: if confiscation is attempted while the 2A is still in force. With the 2A intact, law enforcement would also have good reason for refusal to confiscate firearms.

The Second Amendment has been tested at the U.S. Supreme Court which has upheld the right to keep and bear arms. The next test will come very soon as the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA) has New York City at the Supreme Court for banning transport of a licensed, locked and unloaded handgun to a home or shooting range outside city limits. More here: https://www.scotusblog.com/2019/10/new-york-gun-case-to-move-forward/

The New York State Rifle and Pistol Association has also appealed the constitutionality of New York State’s SAFE Act, which, among other things, makes many semi-automatic rifles, and some handguns and shotguns, illegal. The 2nd Circuit Court upheld the state’s ban on those weapons. Now, NYSRPA is going to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Not nearly as many as tough talk that they will.

What I said: I don’t believe our elected officials want to turn law abiding gun owners into criminals. What could possibly be gained by persecuting the law abiding? Because that’s exactly what it would boil down to. Oh Yeah, almost forgot, criminals don’t register firearms.

You should read this.

The old man told me when I was a kid. If you allow yourself to be beaten down once too often, sooner or later you will not be able to get back on your feet. He also said: No matter how gentle a dog is, if you kick him once too often, sooner or later you’ll end up being bit. Everything has it’s breaking point. EVERYTHING ! There are flood gates that liberals do not want to see opened; but they can only hold back just so much.

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but it kind of seems like they want us at the breaking point.

I thought that Trump was supposed to be the greatest second amendment president of all time? Isn’t that why you guys voted for him?! Looks like he conned all of you too

Better get those guns ready to be turned in

I for one will not give up my LEGALLY OWNED guns. I prefer defending my CONSTITUTIONAL 2nd Ammendment rights as a law abiding person.
Iwill not act violently if arrested but I prefer defending my rights much better than giving into this type of FASCISM.

What are you saying @ion, that Trump has an actual plan to confiscate guns???

I don’t care who the President is,violating law abiding citizens 2nd Ammendment rights is WRONG and should be actively resisted and I’m not advocating armed resistance. I’m talking about electing those that will ACTUALLY protect and preserve our 2nd Ammendment rights.
