This cop had some amazing reflexes when addressing this suspect. Dam! Impressive!

And he doesn’t shoot the other guy that comes running up. That was equally impressive.
Yeah! Talk about having your wits on you at all times! This should be text book training material for future academy cadets! The officer use of his left hand to neutralize the threat and his quick draw was some serious coordination and being in the moment thinking!
The cop was prepared for it, he said get your hand out of your pocket for me. You will also notice how the cop keep him about arm length away so he could react.

The guy that came running up behind the cop should have won the Darwin award.
Watch the cop’s gun hand as the video starts off. He saw it coming as soon as the guy reached into his coat so he was prepared.
In the longer version you can also see that they just walked past the boy and obviously the cop made an assessment of the boy then so he realized the boy posed little threat.
