SYRIA: What fresh hell is this?

WOW! are those legit tweets? If so, WOW

It could for sure but with us out of the way and the Saudi’s essentially replacing US I expect they’ll quickly be destroyed completely in Syria.

The bigger problem with ISIS is that they had so long to spread during the Obama years, much like AQ they have metastasized to many other countries distributed in very small, widely dispersed cells operating primarily through couriers, encrypted phones and messaging programs and on the dark web making them all but impossible to weed out.

Once again you are spreading nothing but hatred of ■■■■ and Lies.

The conflict hasn’t ended and those troops, most of them anyway won’t be coming home.

Seconded,

Yes, that’s true. And handing this all over to Erdogan of all people is not a good thing.

I wonder if he was tweeting while drunk today.

Rand sounds like he’s been hitting the eggnog a little too much.

It cracked me up over at the other place when the lib’s suddenly fell in love with Turkey over the killing of a Saudi after just a few months before wanting to pretty well nuke Erdogan over his treatment of reporters and dissidents.

Erdogan is an evil dictator, and can’t be trusted. I worry about the kurds.

Erdogan would like to wipe out the Kurds, at least those who keep trying to carve out a piece of Turkey to become part of Kurdistan.

Yep, which is one of the reasons why many oppose this move. I wouldn’t take Erdogan’s word about anything.

We don’t have to take his word, we can see everything he does.

That’s true, which is why I find this quite disturbing.

I think this is likely a huge mistake we’ll pay for in the future but we’ll have to see how it plays out. Having the Saudi’s step in to fill our role I think is going to help a lot.

Keep in mind that the Saudis and Kurds are both Sunni and that will help a lot.

I certainly hope you are right about that.

You can look at maps of the region to show which affiliation a given area or region is.

The Kurds seem to get along well with everyone but the Shia which makes them the "moderates"in the region.
