Stock Market is Plummeting - Mnuchin Called Bank CEOs to Check Liquidity

Update: With everyone suddenly freaking out over whether (and why) Mnuchin really made the kind of “liquidity test” call to bank CEOs that was reserved for the depth of the financial crisis, moments ago Mnuchin himself tweeted out details of his Sunday call (from Cabo), the gist of which is that Mnuchin was checking bank liquidity levels for “loans and other market operations” with the CEOs of the 6 largest banks, and even more importantly, on Monday Mnuchin will hold a call with the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, better known as the Plunge Protection Team .

In other words, what was expected to be a sleepy Monday half-day session, is about to get a lot more violent.

I hope everyone is buying gold and silver right now. If this thing crashes you will need to have actual currency on hand. This fiat nonsense was always destined to fail.

President Trump brought us out of a failing economy and these fed fools have done all they can to tank the economy. THEY HAVE SUCCEEDED. Who are they working for? They aren’t working for us.

Does anyone else feel like we’re seeing the beginning of an economic crisis be manufactured here?

As much as we talk about foreign policy and immigration, the quiet war between Trump and the Fed is building, and deserves close attention. The Fed floated Obama for eight years and has been punishing the Trump recovery.

Trump putting the blame exactly where it belongs:

Trump should order the Treasury to start issuing money and tell the Federal Reserve that we won’t be borrowing our own currency, with interest, from them anymore.

It should not be an issue. The carousel just goes in reverse when the stocks are being sold; money comes out of one pocket, into the hands of another grabber, and then back into the bank. The problem arises when other banks have been lending to traders using margin…

BTW, now that the S&P 500 has dropped below 2,500 I believe Mr. Soros is in profit with at least one of his shorts on the SPX, if he is still holding them. Whom ever is holding the other end of those contracts is probably sweating.

Now… you’re just trying to get him assassinated… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
