Swyer syndrome is when a person has XY (male) chromosomes and functional female genitalia (vulva). While XY chromosomes usually result in the development of a penis and scrotum, people with Swyer syndrome develop a vagina, uterus and fallopian tubes.
People with Swyer syndrome don’t have sex glands (ovaries or testicles). Instead, they have functionless scar tissue (called streak gonads). This means they won’t go through puberty unless they have hormone replacement therapy. They also won’t become pregnant naturally but can conceive through egg donation.

Pretty much! I was listening to that side of things and now see why he or she was able to compete despite having XY chromosomes that this person has, but is technically considered a woman. There was another Olympic Athlete some years ago named Caster Semenya who identified as a woman but had questionable genetics because she looked like a man.

Very strange and this person Khalif I believe is their name is now a Gold medalist. Freak of nature for sure. I still hold fast that trans women should not under any circumstances be allowed to compete in women’s sports period.

This is a diffucult subject as this person was born this way.There are many tests to determine sexual gender with varying degrees of accuracy etc.I dont consider her trans because of being born like this.I guess the odds of this occuring are sky high.
He/she isn’t trans. He/she has a Y chromosome, therefore, he/she has male bone structure, muscle mass and higher levels of testosterone than a female. He/she should not be allowed to compete against females.

How does that work if you were an American born before the 80’s? Almost every American before recently had been circumcised at birth. Now I believe that practice has been under scrutiny.

I’m not a Dr. or scientist, but surely you know there are tests for this? If you have the Y chromosome, you have a distinct advantage over a female with XX chromosomes. It isn’t even debatable.
There is such a test and its why prior the two He/She Athletes who competed in the recent Paris Olympics were banned from competing against women in the IBA to which are still prohibited from competing in. Its also why the public knows about these individuals due to their test results and reasons given by the IBA as to why they are not allowed to compete in this league.
I think allowing these two cheaters to compete in the Olympics was strictly a political move by the IOC who obviously didn’t apply the same strict standards as the IBA. I mean for crying out loud the IOC Director couldn’t even and refused to answer a basic question about the definition of a woman.
