So since Coronavirus emerged as the topic du jour what has happened
1 - It disproportionately infects Asians(including Iranians)
2 - Chinas industry has effectively shut down.
3 - US companies are talking abt bringing Manufacturing home to US
4 - Interest rates cut 0.5% with more to come
5 - Overvalued markets crashing
6 - Chinas belt and Road on hold.
Weren’t nearly all of those on Trumps wish list - Cui Bono?? Just sayin’
It’s disproportionately affected Asians because it emerged in Asia and the Chinese tried to keep it quiet until there was no choice i an attempt to protect their own economic interests.
It’s disproportionately affecting Asia because western countries also instituted travel bans as soon as the severity of the pandemic was learned.
Thats the ‘‘why’’, I was merely stating the’’ what’'.
If we start to look at the ‘‘how’’ it gets even more interesting and a bio-weapon would explain a lot.
The ‘‘who’’ then becomes fairly obvious. Cui bono?
Cohencidence?? possibly but I don’t believe in cohencidences.
Typically viruses are more resistant to disinfectants than bacteria, but coronavirus is an enveloped virus, so it has an outer membrane formed of oil and fat. All enveloped viruses are very susceptible to soaps and detergents, which explode the outer membranes, rendering them ineffective.
I think most are aware of the numbers the generic flu kills per year. So,it makes one
wonder why the need for travel bans and quarantines of such magnitude?
Does it have to be a ‘bar’ of soap, or do the pump-dispensed cleansers work just as well … and I am talking about regular soap here not anything esoteric ?
Taiwan is 81 miles off the coast of mainland China and was expected to have the second highest number of cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) due to its proximity to and number of flights between China.1 The country has 23 million citizens of which 850 000 reside in and 404 000 work in China.2,3 In 2019, 2.71 million visitors from the mainland traveled to Taiwan.4 As such, Taiwan has been on constant alert and ready to act on epidemics arising from China ever since the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic in 2003. Given the continual spread of COVID-19 around the world, understanding the action items that were implemented quickly in Taiwan and assessing the effectiveness of these actions in preventing a large-scale epidemic may be instructive for other countries.
This is reassuring news for those who are young and healthy. What’s scary about this is that the symptoms seem so benign in healthy younger people that they may be carrying and transmitting the virus without knowing it. How many times have you gone to work or about your business with a little sore throat?
