You’re welcome mate. He undeniably does have one or two eccentricities, but then most geniuses do, and I know that from personal experience. 
I watched him in another one last night, and to be able to talk about something so breathtakingly complex for a whole hour without stumbling really proves his expertise. It’s a pity he isn’t on the lectern from which Niall Ferguson/Whatshisname Whitty parrots the government lie er, I mean line. Qualifying what I said above, Sam the Man does stumble now and again, but that’s because English isn’t his first language.
Wish we had a leader like Trump in these crises, rather than a populist career posh-boy bureaucrat who believes all the nonsense he’s told by proven incompetent ‘experts/government advisers’, then knee-jerks it into misguided action. When the cat is eventually let out of the bag, this is going to finish the Tories for at least 3 terms, and deservedly so.
Don’t tell me that the ‘peace-keeping mission’ on the Russian border is still going on? It must be costing us an arm and a leg after all this time - and for what? No seriously . . . for what??

It is certainly true that reduced child mortality and improved education reduces birth rates. This has been demonstrated over centuries. The goal of constrained population numbers is not an unreasonable one. Some of the methods which have been put forward are scary.
It is sad to see an “educated man” complaining about levels of CO2. It is a natural “gas of life”, without it the plants will die … followed by a great number of others. It is also a building block for many sea creatures. Where does he think all the limestone came from?

For those who give a shit, the number of deaths reported in the UK are those who die in hospital from COVID-19 and will include some who have additional health issues such as cancer. Those who die from COVID-19 outside hospital are not included in these numbers because the ability to account for them lags whatever is happening in hospitals. According to the deputy Prime Minister, Dominic Raab, the numbers will eventually be recorded by the ONS and will therefore be available for anyone to access.
But he said that, as of the end of September, only 70 per cent of the total memberships bills had been paid.
Guess they aren’t as popular as they think they are 
I’d also call them tone deaf. Economies have been hit hard by this pandemic. It isn’t a good time to pander for past due bills (which they have apparently allowed for years) when many have lost their livelihoods.

The calculation of death rate by coronavirus is different from country to country.
Too much manipulation there.
In Germany, for example, a random survey of 1,000 persons is made and then deaths over infected persons.
This gives a realistic picture and the death rate is only 1/5 of those in Italy, US, etc.
Population decline in most all European countries has been a recognised problem for decades.
The natural birthrate to sustain the population is abt 2.2 children per couple - most European countries have a birthrate of maybe 1.2 - meaning that the indiginous pop will disappear over time.
The solution for this problem is fairly obvious - Mass imigration(from Africa) and that is the solution that has been enacted by TPTB.
Natural depopulation is a good thing, in my view.
Exit from the current banking/industrial system will give a chance for self-sufficient communities and it doesn’t require millions and millions of people.
(Who needs Africans?)

Apparently the estimated figure of 66k deaths has a margin of error of nearly 100% - so it could be zero or it could be 120k - Go figure!

I dispute that “that” is any kind of solution. For the Germans (birth rate ~ 0.7 when I last noticed) it was a convenient straw. However the manifestation is obviously not what was intended.
IMHO the correct solution is what has been put in place by Viktor Orban in Hungary … encourage the local population to have children by supporting them to do so.
Anyway, back on topic …

If Gates solution to overpopulation is the introduction of a bio weaponised virus then imho population growth IS ON topic.
I think a lot of threads here try to constrain or limit the scope of discussion way too much and we end up with multiple threads, essentially discussing the same thing
For instance how many CVid threads are there now - last time I looked there were at least 10 ffs
