I don’t think it was ever meant to wipe out millions from the face of the earth, I think it’s to instill fear into those millions until they’re begging for some messianic saviour (no, not a religious one. lol) to save them from the unknown, and it doesn’t matter whether the saviour can or not; it’s just knowing that he is there for them, and the supplicants will do everything they’re told to do in abject gratitude for protection from the perceived threat. In other words, total population control . . . and they’ve almost achieved it already, if this irrational panic is any indicator?
