Look, I like Gowdy, but after that entire Benghazi investigation turned into a big nothing burger I never viewed him with the same kind of admiration and resigned to the view that he was another creature of the swamp. He never rose up to the level that Nunes has by putting it all on the line to do the right thing. He certainly disappointed me and was hoping he would have turned up something back then when he had the chance. Why do I know this? The personal that returned from that disaster were put on a gag order and prohibited from speaking or testifying about that event and they are still silent to this day. Why? Gowdy never challenged that aspect of his investigation.
I have no doubt he makes a great prosecutor but in my view he failed to put those skills to use when it mattered most.
Hindsight is usually 20/20. Likely all people make observations based upon whatever is presented to them at the time before the truth is revealed. Often we humans think that Person A is honest and forthright until proof of their disingenuous nature is exposed.

Chaffetz was another one that not only disappointed me, but was involved with a cover up when 17 Navy Seals were killed in a crash. It was no coincidence that he abruptly resigned after Freedom Watch filed a suit. It was crap like this is no wonder why people like Longo no longer have faith that justice will be served.
